The boys over in the SH4 forums had an interesting question posed: How do you limit the rudder to only 15 degrees on course change? That makes me wonder does the rudder go to 40+ degrees for a course change? I'm away from my gaming system currently and can't see for myself :hmmm:

in your \Silent Hunter 5 folder should be a file called ActiveAutomationScripts.TDW. This file holds the information for what Automation needs to restart when you restart the game. You can open it with notepad :up:

No, i donīt have that file and I saw the debbuged file and says that that file doesnīt exit.

I was looking at the debbuged file when saving a game and i donīt find any entrance saying "ActiveAutomationScripts.TDW" saved or something like that. This is happening to me since the first day using your EXTRAORDINARY mod. Actually i thought it didnīt save the active scripts till i saw a post here asking the same. http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...on#post1776800

I will continue investigating.
Thanks again for your support.

Run the SHValidator app found in \data\Appliations. More than likely where the mod thinks your SH5 installation is and where it actually is are two different places (you re-installed the game at some point) :yep:

Validator passed, with some errors, but found the registry. Even in the debbuged file at some state says:

00000026 53.72879028 [3420] TheDarkWraithUserOptions InitializeScript
00000027 53.73686600 [3420] TDWMastHeights constructor
00000028 53.73762512 [3420] 32bit Key found. Value='C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\'
00000029 53.73765564 [3420] \ found as last character in install path from registry!
00000030 53.73768997 [3420] InstallPath=C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5
00000031 53.73844147 [3420] rosterfilepath=C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Roster\Names.cfg
00000032 53.73889160 [3420] seapath=C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\data\Sea

So is not a registry problem. I'm going to deinstall all mods and just run yours.

Are those values where it says it thinks SH5 is and where it actually is on your computer agree? :06: If so then something is IRAI for sure.

Yes, my game is here: C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5
The rest of your mod files are all there except this one. :hmmm:

Can you send me a full DbgView output from startup of game to shutdown of game when you have automation items enabled (running thus green in color)?

pedrobas 01-16-12 06:57 PM

PM sent.

Thanks.

Thanks.

Had to go back and look through the .py files of the mod to remember what I did.

U-Boat Hull Numbers

Currently we are allowed to set a Hull Number in TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py file.

Would it be possible to set a Hull Number for Each Type Submarine?:06:
i.e.
Uboat7a = U-30
Uboat7b = U-47
Uboat7c = U-552
Uboat7c41 = U-296
Uboat9c = U-260
Uboat9d2 = U-874

Might very well be possible. What are you thinking? :hmmm:

Echolot 01-17-12 12:31 PM

Do you need a list of every boat (number, captain, type etc.)?

:06:

Regards.

I am thinking there will be new payable units soon.:hmmm:

As player progress through the campaign they are giving command of new units and preious Hull Number is no longer valid.
Currently one has to edit Options file to change Hull Number for each new Command.

I have a question concerning the "send to battlestations" command.

What is the difference between the command in the crew-icon list at the bottom of the screen and the one I activate by dialog with the 1WO? The first one shows a symbol of a man on watch next to the clock in the upper right, the second one shows the symbol of a bell and I get an audio file "auf Gefechtsstationen" played.

Is there some difference in what each of these commands is doing?
