In fact I launched the two torps and headed away to avoid them. As you can see the weather was so clear and visibility was unlimited. |

1. Hunting a Flower class frigate
http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/9...ingaflower.jpg Although it is dark you can see the forward turret trained backwards. I was on his six. He had already taken a torpedo hit and left unescorted the Liberty he was with. I sunk the already crippled Liberty with a stern shot and I started the pursuit. 2. Adua class Italian submarine. I call this maneuver "Tickling the Dragon's Tail," (the name refers to fooling around with nuclear reactor cores almost ready to go critical). I do it when a destroyer or some other ASW boat is disabled but still deadly. Here, you can see the Clemson is down by the stern and dead in the water. I cannot surface for obvious reasons and I don't want to waste another torpedo... I try to trick it into depth charging the surface, damaging it more. http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/a.../Tickling2.jpg Failing that, ramming works too. I tore the deck gun off, since it was already out of ammo. http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/a...me/THOMSEN.jpg Ran across a U-Flak far away from the Biscay area. Shouted "THOMSEEEEEEN" as she went by. |
RMS Titanic shooting at a small ocean liner trying to hit me. I am 6500m away trying to reload and refresh the air. I was submerged for 3 days.

Rms titanic (2)
After 10 minutes they are still trying. I fired some 105mm rounds but only scored 3 hits. One torpedo is about to be loaded . maintining distance 6500mhttp://img816.imageshack.us/img816/9558/rmstitanici.jpg

Rms Titanic 3
After 1 hour I have reloaded and fired all 4 tubes. All torpedo crew was moved to the forward tubes.
Both merchants sunk http://img510.imageshack.us/img510/7974/rmstitanic2.jpg Sorry for the three different post. I couldn't add the pictures to the first post by editing. |
The end of the story
When the engagement was over I set on 1/3 and left.
The aircraft showed up out of nowhere. I din't have time to crash dive so I fought him on the surface. http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/7774/rmstitanic3.jpg |

Thanks! Now I need to make up my mind, if I want to take U 100 out on 9 March 41, for its 6th war patrol.
Happy Holidays! |
