What happens if Biden withdraws? Strategists weigh in

Quote:

In a recent note, Piper Sandler analysts delved into the implications of President Biden potentially stepping aside from the 2024 presidential race.

They highlighted that significant Democratic leaders, including Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, and Nancy Pelosi, have publicly urged Biden to withdraw, marking a coordinated effort to push him out of the race.

The analysts pointed out that Biden's inner circle has dwindled to a few close family members and long-time aides. "He is a stubborn person who thinks very highly of himself," Jefferies wrote, emphasizing Biden's historical reluctance to heed advice from those outside his immediate circle.

The Democratic National Committee's attempt to schedule a virtual nomination ahead of the convention further underscores Biden's determination to stay in the race.
Despite their criticisms of Biden's decision to run for re-election, Piper Sandler analysts acknowledged the difficulty in predicting whether he will step aside. They suggested that the current political climate has brought Biden's candidacy to the brink of a critical juncture.

"We are now one step short of the true Armageddon scenario for Biden's candidacy," they wrote, referring to the potential for a significant number of Democratic senators to publicly call for his withdrawal.

The analysts speculated on the impact of Biden's recent Covid diagnosis, suggesting it could serve as a moment for him to reflect on his campaign. They also discussed the potential outcomes if Biden were to withdraw, noting that Vice President Kamala Harris would have a better chance of securing the nomination the closer to the convention Biden exits.

However, they emphasized the unpredictability of the situation, stating, "It's really difficult to predict the outcome of the general election when we don't know who the candidate is."

Overall, the Piper Sandler note underscores the uncertainty and high stakes surrounding Biden's decision, highlighting the profound impact it could have on the Democratic Party and the upcoming election.

I indeed am quite convinced since a few weeks that the race Biden-Trump will not materialize. Its Trump versus X.

The 15 million dollars question is:

Does the Dems have a candidate who can beat Trump in the Nov. election ?
A candidate who has to go against its own parties politics.

I'm convinced Trump will win with a landslide over any candidate the Dems put up.

I know I mentioned it some pages back.

It has been done before in 1852 where the 14th President was "thrown" out and another was chosen as their candidate.

The number of Democrats urging Biden to withdraw is now rising inexorably, there is no going back.

At the same time, Trump has transformed the former Republican Party into a pseudo-religious sect with a messianic sense of mission and an unparalleled cult of personality. One wonders what will happen in view of this religious exaltation of their savior if, contrary to expectations, the Trumpians lose the election...?

I no longer want to rule out civil war-like scenarios. In any case, the USA is facing many long years of internal unrest and increasing discord. One wonders whether this can ever heal. I have growing doubts, I no longer believe it.

Considering your initial and near hysterical extremist nature of your analysis concerning COVID you’re 100% off base on your new analysis too.

All you euros might want get your water tested. Talk about cults, you have on the most racist neo nazi governments in your own backyard and say nothing. Hell it’s been 2023 and since and they still have neo nazis in government. Because they have everyone believing it’s the happiest place on the planet and you fall for it

Quote:

Finland held its parliamentary elections in April 2023, from which a center-right coalition government was formed after 7 weeks of negotiations led by The National Coalition Party, with the True Finns Party, Swedish People’s Party, and the Christian Democrats. As soon as it was formed, the government was faced with what has been termed “a summer of racism scandals”, stemming from the racist writings, espousing the Great Replacement Theory, and participation in neo-Nazi events by several of the ministers from the far-right True Finns Party, including the current Deputy Prime Minister Rikka Purra and Speaker of Parliament Jussi Halla-Aho.

The Deputy Prime Minister had written about wanting to shoot Black children and called Muslim women “black sacks” (i.e., not even human), the initial Minister of Economy from the same far-right party participated in neo-Nazi events and upon his resignation was replaced by another far-right Minister who had been investigated for sexual assault, uses racial slurs, and talks about not just banning the hijab, but Muslim women themselves from entering the country. It also worth mentioning that the Speaker of Parliament has been convicted by the Finnish Supreme Court twice for incitement to ethnic and racial hatred, and had been a former member of Suomen Sisu, a neo-Nazi and neo-fascist group, up until 2019.

President Trump is getting pretty slick. Instead of outright saying something, he says
