TDW,

I'm trying to make the jump to no map contacts but don't want to give up the sonar contact lines. (I think the lines are a good simulation of what your sonar officer would provide during evasion.) Anyway, I noticed that I'm still getting the "ghost contacts" when I move my course line around. This sort of takes the challenge out of plotting the course of a target. What combination of TDW UI addon mods do I need to use to get rid of the ghost ships on the map but keep the sonar lines?

Right now I'm only using TDW_No_contact_shapes_or_colors_1_1_0.

This one works for me;

TDW_No_contact_shapes_or_colors_dashed_contact_lin e_1_1_0

I guess it has to be a clickable object ?

Adding new item notes is rather easy to do.

First thing you have to do is add the new 'notes' to the menu.txt file. Then after adding those you need to edit the page x.ini file and add them to it. Best way to do that is by using the game menu editor (enable menu editor in your \Documents\sh5\data\cfg\main.cfg) and when you start the game and it asks if you want to start the menu editor say yes. Go to the page where you want the new item notes and select the item that you want new item notes for. At the bottom there is a box that says 'Notes'. Click the arrow in the box and scroll till you find your new entries.

The next question is can you have item notes for hud items like when you mouse over the heading bar etc :hmmm: Do you see where i am going with this ?
Any hints on how to get the item notes to appear on a page that they dont appear now , like the campaign selection screen for example . I would like item notes to appear when i curser over each campaign selection box .

Yes you can add item notes to the heading bar and to the campaign selection boxes. Just use the method I posted above. I just verified that you can add notes to those :up:

Noob question

Bit of a noob question, before starting a new campaign I go into user options and check "limited fuel, limited compresst air" to yes. I then start a new campaign, skipping the tutorial and still I have unlimited fuel/compressed air?
I figured the option might be in the "TheDarkWraithUserOptions" though I can't seem to find it.
:damn:

Hi Marduk:salute:

What you need to do is:-
load up your save game
when you next return to port and are in the bunker - press esc key
goto game options and make changes and save
save game
continue game

If you load a save game from before you made the changes - all changes will be undone

Hi Marduk and welcome to the forum - it's always good to see more new captains around :salute:

@ Trevally - isn't it like this when you start a new campaign?

When you start a new campaign and you're in the bunker;

1. Hit Esc and go to the Options
2. Make your settings
3. Save
4. Leave the campaign and go back to the Main Menu
5. Load it again

This should keep your settings for that particular campaign. Or :hmmm:

All your questions are welcome. Anytime.

Regards
