What we are objecting to are the butchering of this country's assets for ideological reasons with the Tories then claiming it was due to the need to cut.

For example,

Changes to university funding to 'save money' - proven that under their new system, the only way that it will save money is that if graduates go straight into a 100k job on graduating - Average salary in this country is around 20k.

Changes to education with the introduction of 'Free Schools' and the forcing of existing schools to convert to 'Academies'. - These schools do not need to follow a nationally set curriculum, so they can teach the world is flat and get away with it. In addition they don't need to employ qualified teachers, but can employ people with no ability or aptitude at teaching instead.

Changes to the NHS to allow more private sector involvement. This, as has previously been seen in other sectors will result in the private sector 'cherry picking' the profitable work and leaving the non-profitable work to the public sector. This will cause the public sector to haemorrhage money, which will then be used as justification for back door privatisation.

Savage cuts to the police service that has resulted in the lowest numbers of police officers in 9 years and a 40% cut in the amount they have to spend on forensic provision. In addition, they shut the Forensic Science Service, a move that has cost them ~2.5 times the amount it cost to run and which has left the country in quite frankly a critical state when it comes to evidence processing.

In simple terms, the majority of this country is hoping desperately that 2015 comes before the damage they have inflicted becomes too severe to repair.

I fear any future change in government will mean the above remedial work costs will be used as the reason for cuts elsewhere.

I honestly don't think there is any easy remedy...especially for the unemployed and working masses.

Poor families lose out in council tax benefit cuts

Low-income families could lose hundreds of pounds a year under controversial Coalition moves to slash council tax benefit payments.

Ministers have ordered widespread cuts to the benefit to save the Treasury £500m a year – but have told councils they have to decide who will lose the money.

Care to note they have passed the buck!
