Oh I agree, she's too weak atm to lose the support of those who support Boris and he knows that very well, hence his childlike antics.

>>>BREAKING NEWS<<<

Quote:

Boris Johnson is facing a possible investigation into breaches of the Conservative Party code of conduct.

The party has received a number of complaints about the former foreign secretary's comments about women wearing burkas, who he said looked like letter boxes.

The complaints will be looked at by an independent panel.

A Conservative Party spokesman said: "The code of conduct process is strictly confidential."

Mr Johnson has rejected calls to apologise for his remarks, in a Daily Telegraph column opposing a ban on full face veils.

There is some talk if Boris is expelled from the Conservative party he and a few others would set up a new right wing party taking a heck of a lot of grass roots tory voters with them. I feel this is some what a hear say story with no real proof.

Much will depend on whether Boris and his followers are willing to risk the downfall of a Tory government and therefore allowing the 'unelectable' one to take the keys to no 10.

Nope, I think at best we would see a leadership challenge against May.....IIrc it would only take forty signatures to set the wheels in motion.

Boris Johnson has been defended by comedian Rowan Atkinson following his recent comments about burkas.

The actor, best known for playing Mr Bean and Blackadder, described the remarks as funny.

The former foreign secretary has also won the support of ex-cabinet minister Andrew Mitchell, who called the comments "colourful" but not against the law.

A Conservative Party investigation into Boris Johnson is a "show trial" and is being used to stop him becoming leader, Jacob Rees-Mogg has claimed.

I can not see any challenge to May before the election on the grounds no one wants to take the can for the brexit mess. Boris has a dreadful attention span which makes him unfit to become leader. OK the Tory party members may appoint him leader but I can not see the country trusting him as PM on his own. Like JC I would say both would have to form a coalition with another party.

Punishing Boris Johnson risks 'open warfare' - Conservative MP

There will be "open warfare" in the Conservative Party if Boris Johnson is severely disciplined over his burka comments, an MP has said.

Tory MP Andrew Bridgen, a supporter of Mr Johnson, issued the warning in the event the former foreign secretary is suspended in such a way that he cannot not take part in a future leadership contest.

But Mr Bridgen told the Sunday Express: "If Boris is suspended it will be open warfare in the Conservative Party.

"If Theresa May dares engineer a leadership contest while Boris is suspended it will be World War Three."
