Pressure indeed. According to the composers, nerves got to Sinatra so badly that numerous takes were needed before a definitive recording was in the bag.
I've looked around the interweb loads of times and there isn't one video of Nancy singing that song live, me thinks John Barry and Leslie Bricusse were being extremely diplomatic when they said it took numerous takes. |
