TWoS
I have got the generic patcher working correctly now showing all 9 patches, is there anything in there that might remove those boxes from my screen?
I simply cannot follow the install instructions any more than i already do, everything is as instructed. |

If you have there all 9 patches, then you just have to restore the snapshot and close the patcher. |
Done all the generic patcher stuff, that’s working fine, but I’m still getting those boxes on screen when in game, possibly an issue with my copy of the game I reckon

Did SH5 works without TWoS? |
Twos
Yeah my SH works absolutely fine without the mod, I haven’t tried any other mods to see if they work but it works fine as Vanilla

Hm... with OS an AV do you use? It sounds like something blocks the Generic Patcher and his function in background. |
Im using windows 8.1 Pro and does AV mean my resolution? sorry im not very technology smart!! im not sure if there is an issue with the generic patcher, i have all 9 of the patches showing and i was able to "restore snapshot", but i might be wrong! are there any settings within the patcher that could need changing?

With AV I mean antivirus or security software on your computer
|
Ahh i see, worryingly i dont use any antivirus or protection software!! Probably not the wisest but i havent been stung yet!

I'm sorry, but I do not have any other idea what can be the reason for your problem. If possible, you can test it with another computer, because I have not experienced this problem in the form yet.
Normally a clean reinstallation solve all issues and problem with TWoS and other mods. |
Hello Jimbo13,
i had the same Problem like you. I have the DVD Version (bought it right after release, silly me). After many reinstalls i bought for some bucks a uplay key and downloaded the game over ubisoft connect. Now it works, so i think the DVD-Version is the problem. Important: after installing the game, you have to replace the sh5.exe (look at the TWoS install instructions, there is also the download link for the replacement). After that, you can install TWoS, following the install instructions. Hope this helps. |

Sorry had no time for pics etc..:D
Maybe a sim/ai bug. Destroyer coming up on bearing 135, full tilt, at about 4km and foggy. Emergency dive and as I pass 10m the reporting is continously.. - Wasserbom - Stopped/sealed leaking (or something like that) ..and it goes on for ever, while taking continous damage, eventually heavy damage. The thing is that the ship was 'miles away'. I cannot hear any depth charge explosions on sonar station or in the control room, nudder nutting. Just reloaded and went in another direction. |
Hello, I have strange ship name sometimes, that's the second time it happens.
The last one was a medium freighter, and the name was : KMSSFR3_CS It's always a name wich end like that _CS Any idea ? edit : another one was named something like "Hansa_CS" |
hello, boyz.
installed the game, but it shows me hieroglyphs instead of english or russian words. how to fix it? should i install clear version of the SH5? |

Good luck! Fitzcarraldo :salute: |
Also remember to run CCleaner after you have uninstalled and deleted SH from your documents folder. That way you can start a fresh installation of Silent Hunter in another area of your computer, just stay away from accepting an installation in the suggested C:/Program Files (x86) section.
