I tried to get rid of that pesky red crosshair but it seems to be hardcoded. So, as a workaround, I think I'll add the crosshair to the zoomed in view. That'd suit my slightly anal tastes and, if I understand you correctly, everything should work fine from an aiming point of view.

Yes, you understand me correctly, and that would do nicely. :yep: All that's needing for aiming is some kind of vertical mark. Alternatively we could all draw a line down the centre of our monitors I suppose :88)
Out of curiosity, what don't you like about the deckgun binoculars? Is it the figure-of-8 shape again? I've no idea what the view through those should be, but even if not the figure-of-8, maybe at least like the regular binoculars. I'm just a little surprised that you'd rather have no representation of the optics at all when the deckgun clearly has optics of sorts :hmm:
I tend to have somewhat anal tastes too, so to speak :yep:

Click on the UZO. Not the UZO shortcut, but the actual UZO itself.

I've done that before, but never noticed it. Which is surprising with me since I'm a picky bugger (in case you didn't notice already :rotfl: ). Will try it out!

If I added a little "dot" it'd have the same problem. :(

Agreed!
And ... local time!  :()1:
