Livingstone: I'd 'do anything' for Corbyn if I was an MP.

The ex-London mayor, who is suspended from Labour over 2016 comments about Hitler and Zionism, told LBC if he was still in Parliament he would "do anything now that Jeremy wants".

This surely smacks of desparation, having met this guy the comments just don't sound right to me :hmmm:

UKIP Leader Gerard Batten has admitted the party faces "difficult" local elections in England as it seeks to hang on to gains made four years ago.

Its the Death Knell of UKIP, I bet they will not make any gains and could loose the last of their seats.

Government plans to make people prove their identity before voting are "deeply flawed", the Electoral Reform Society (ERS) has warned.

I would gladly wizz over the ballot box to give them a sample. :03:  :shifty: :haha:

Labour has expelled an activist for bringing the party into disrepute after he criticised a Jewish MP at the launch of an anti-Semitism report.

Marc Wadsworth accused Ruth Smeeth of working "hand in hand" with the media to undermine Labour.

Labour's National Constitutional Committee found he breached the party's rules and should be thrown out.

Looks like an own goal by Momentum.

Mr Wadsworth said he would see whether he could launch a legal challenge.
He could play the race card. :03:

Doesn't look fit enough to run any kind of race.

BREAKING NEWS

Amber Rudd resigns as home secretary
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-43944988

This is a major blow to PM May and a boost for Boris if Rudd can not bounce back when the time comes for a new leader. Meanwhile this mess has now landed right on PM May's door now as she was the HS before Rudd. Old JS must be grinning and rubbing his hands with glee.

Sajid Javid to be her successor.

Never mind.

Meanwhile back with dead brexit the HoL's has has driven another nail in the coffin by giving the remainers in the HoC ammo to insure we stay in.

Its going the way of the HoC according to a green brexiteer. So the Lords are getting like feeding time at the zoo.

Theresa May has asked officials to draw up "revised proposals" for post-Brexit customs arrangements after a key meeting with her most senior ministers.

One big mess and a clueless government, still it could be worst if old JC and his parrot and Co were in charge.

People are heading to polling stations across England to cast their vote in local elections. But what can and can't you do in there?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-43983595

For those of you who will be voting. I clearly can not as I would write on my ballot paper you want my vote pay me £1000 and you got it. :03:

The EU Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker, has urged Belgium to grant citizenship to British EU staff worried about their post-Brexit status.

About 1,100 UK citizens work for the EU in Brussels and Luxembourg.

The UK and EU have already pledged to protect citizens' rights after Brexit, but that does not mean granting nationality.

Is this guy a full shilling?

Catfish 05-03-18 09:25 AM

^ more tax payers for Belgium? :hmmm:
"Many British EU staff are longstanding residents with families."
At least some don't want to leave.

Jimbuna 05-03-18 10:08 AM

^ I've no problem with that, each to their own but the politicians shouldn't be getting involved with scaremongering (both sides) if guarantees have already been agreed,

STEED 05-04-18 04:54 AM

So why did I not vote?

Not one election campaign leaflet and no candidates or their representatives from the Con/Lib/Lab/Greens. If you lot can not be bothered why should I make the effort to vote for a bunch of self-righteous candidates who can not make their case to me.

So what was the over all picture in the UK? The Tory wipe out was a no show and Labour bounce back we are ready for government was also a no show. The biggest winners the LibDems and the biggest looser UKIP near on wipe out.

The picture is clear as of today, the country wants Labour back in power but not under old JC and his gang of arrogant front bencher's. As the the Tories the choke hold is still firmly in place as they are on course to win the general election but needing another partner to get them over the winning line.

This could be good news for the DUP as they can now make bigger demands for money and if they turn out to be the Tory partner again they will tighten their demands even more.
