Now, your files are different from those of TDW, can-you tell us why ?

ACS

His are probably much better. I just quickly made something to correct the problem until someone much better with Photoshop could do it.

Just looked at his two files for this - will do a much better job than mine did :yeah:

@W_Clear: may I use these two files in my FX Update mod?

Is still the underwater color blue at night when the surface is black?

Hello W_clear
Should we activate the mod as is, or opening the folder that contains MOD MOD 4.1 + ENVIRONMENT ENVIRONMENT SOUNDS and LIGHTFOG?
Thank you very much for this mod :salute:

@ Otto: press the 'L' key to move your XO TDC dialog box to the bottom right of the screen (assuming you're using SH5Enhanced style and XO TDC dialog box draggable isn't enabled) ;)

Same problem with version 4.2
otherwise, simply perfection.

ACSoft 10-27-10 04:01 AM

W_clear you probably missed my following previous message:
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...postcount=1019
Because your 4.2 still have these two files.

TO ALL:

About the optional "LightFog" mod it is written in the readme: "Very suitable for fighting".

Can, anybody who has understood the purpose of this alternate mod, elaborate a little bit more in which cases it is better to use this alternate "FogDistances.cfg".

Does it mean that, by defaut, it look better, but it is not possible to "fight" properly (?!?!?) and "LightFog" option, give the opportunity to sacrify the "look" for the "playability" ?

By default, in heavy fog conditions ( as you can see in the screenies that Iīve posted in this thread) you canīt lock thje target,as the visibility is so bad.
Maybe the lightFog gives you the chance to lock&fire, improving the playability and decreasing the visual aspect ( I guess :hmmm: )

I investigated this problem and it come from mod file:

"data\Shaders\Wakes\ShipWakePS_SH5.fx"

As far as I understand this mod, in version 4.0 and probably since many previous versions, maybe even since ever (date of the file is: july 9, 2010), this ship wake modification was simply NEVER ACTIVE, because the file had the following INCORRECT NAME:

"ShipWakePS_SH5.fx.txt"

In mod 4.1 and 4.2 you have two files:

Still our "ShipWakePS_SH5.fx.txt" (dated july 9, 2010)
and a new one: ShipWakePS_SH5.fx

Something I have already mentionned twice, but as usually, Mister W_clear do not reacted to my attempt to help. :hmmm:
