See they had to go down to the Ebenezer African Church across town to find some singing talent for the white church.....

Brings back memories as a white kid living in rural SC. Most the adults were very racist, but they loved music. There was a black church that was known for the best choir. Every Sunday you would find several whites sitting outside the windows on benches listening. My grandfather was as racist as one could get, but he loved to go listen....always bragging...."that n...er choir sho can sing"....
