It's just a theory mind you but it has fixed issues in the past. (Based on my messing around) That is to do a lot of adjusting in Hex of the 3D models. That involves exporting the head models, Identify the verts around the eyes, adjust those in a 3D program, then track down those verts in the MARINE.dat and adjust them. Easy Peezy! :har: Of course I have Scripts for 010 that allows me to identify the needed model so I can extract that information to a seperate file to work on. Once adjusted? Another Script puts it all back. :03: And people STILL believe Hex Experts are not needed for modding. :haha: |

I guys
I've started the work on IJN 3D crew. There's two way to make IJN uniforms for SH4, each of them is not perfect, but can make the change at the end with a bit of work. We can use the German 3D crew or the US one. The problem is to find a good way to reproduce the famous cut of the Japan uniform, that is really different from US and German ones, using the 3D base of the game that I can't change (The Jeff-Groves way is really interesting, thanks for the track, but it's definitely beyond my skill in 3D and programming.. :o ) The German is interesting for the coat for exemple that go just before the knees and that could reproduce the Japan long shirt worn other the pant, but there's still the problem of the straight collar.. The version shirtless with tank top is also interesting for sub units, but there's the short, that is not used by Japan navy for what I know. Most of the problem is for the hat, no famous Japan cap, the German one doesn't have the good design to try to make a fake and the side cap is not used in Japan Navy. The US one have no long coat that could make the famous officer shirt, just shirt in occidental style tucked into the pants which is not the IJN style. But the cap and navy hat are pretty good to make some fake of Japan cap (navy one) and navy hat for winter version. It's also a good 3D set to make the white working jumpsuit used in the Japan subs. I will test the two versions, make a set on German 3D base and one on US one. I've tried without success to shuffle the two crews. I'm not sure that you can use German accessories on US crew and vice versa :hmmm: Quote:
So here the WIP on the US base. I followed the model that you could see in the first pict (top left pict). White working jumpsuit with cap and black shoes. White shirt for officers. https://zupimages.net/up/23/32/ivqx.jpg https://zupimages.net/up/23/32/x0s6.jpg Stay tuned :Kaleun_Salute: |

It will for sure, here probably, I must see how pack all that, and be sure that it's ok with stock install and modded one. If MK2 has finished his voice pack, we could perhaps make a global update of this mod.
I'm not sure to have the last version of the Kaidai 3b, as you can see, I've no deck gun on my version and I intend to put one. If someone could help me on this task, that will be great. I'll try to get in touch with Keltos for this part. I plan also to make a texture set for the Jyunsen. Small WIP also on the rework of the crew board, just adding some more Japan figures to replace the German ones with the famous side cap. And change the sub silhouette (must adjust this last one) https://zupimages.net/up/23/32/b63h.jpg I've to make a break for 15 days, I'll be back with some update :Kaleun_Salute: |

@LuckyCapitan: Look up the songs, and most likely a good portion of them are in public domain. Some of the then popular US music most likely is not, but the clock is ticking for that also... Using copyrighted material in a YouTube video, or similar, could get you a "strike" from them, or the video blocked at the least.
@flush deck: quoting "I'm not sure to have the last version of the Kaidai 3b, as you can see, I've no deck gun on my version and I intend to put one. If someone could help me on this task, that will be great. I'll try to get in touch with Keltos for this part." The gun should be in the original mod, but would be in one of the Library folders... :hmmm: |
Good news!
I cannot wait update of this great mod! From Japan with Love |

Hi all. Are there any progress?
I changed the music files a little, almost all the music in the game is now Japanese. I also made different footage of chronicles from Japanese boats in the main menu |
And also made sure that the campaign began in May 1942, a few months after the capture of the Penang base. While the campaign from 1942 is available for this naval base

Hallo everyone. I’m sharing the news: it’s still not possible to create a base on Rabaul; every time I try to enter the office, the game crashes to the desktop. So for now I started editing the texture of the boat tower. I want to put letters and license plates on them, just like they did on real Japanese boats. The tower of the A1 type boat is already ready

Ahhh yeshhh... the ole "Bullseye" trick, the "Shoot me here!!!" painting... aka: "Dive bomber aiming point" on the flattops... :yeah:

Hello, propbeanie. No one has been here for a long time, lol. There were also problems with license plates, all due to the textures of the towers of other boats. These numbers look weird on these textures

Hello. There is a problem. Tell me why, after creating a new base in Flotillas.upc and Patrol Object.upc, when you try to start a campaign, the game crashes to the desktop? I'm trying to make a base in Rabaul, but it's not working
