*Note. For those using Commander 2.6 along with the latest NYGM version.
SH3 Commander comes with the Thermal Layers mod (introduced in Commander 2.5) works fine/no issues with NYGM SH3 Commander 2.6 comes with the Malfunctions & Sabotage mods available as a merged set or individually(see the read me) In both of these mods there is are randomized files dealing with the crash depths. The purpose of this was to simulate a problem when ordering a crash dive. There are a number of mechanical and human reasons for a boat heading down out of control. jammed dive planes, stuck/jammed valves, toilet being incorrectly flushed etc. These occurrences are not common but they do exist. As previously discussed in depth on other posts when you interrupt a crash dive in NYGM it nullifies the NYGM anti hummingbird effect. The player has two options: 1. let the boat continue to it's depth whatever it happens to be and therefore the anti-hummingbird effect will stay as advertized. 2. Interrupt the crash dive as there obviously is something wrong with the boat (you have no idea what depth the boat will finally settle at)and make a decision to monitor the depth under keel very closely. The anti-hummingbird effect will be voided for you but then again your boat does have a problem and it's up to the Captain and crew to compensate. Thanks to Observer for finding this one and bringing it to my attention during the final testing stages of testing. I've been testing this area particularly in numerous campaign patrols and find no other problems or concerns. The Sabotage/Malfunctions files don't "break" anything but they do nullify the anti-humming bird effect for that single patrol only. |
I've gone through this thread and cleaned up any off-topic discussions. Please take care of these by e-mail or PM. Thank you.

Awesome! I love this mod so much, great job JScones! If you don't have SH3 Commander and want a more exciting and realistic career in SH3 then I highly recommend you get it.

Simply: a) install SH3 b) install the SH3 v1.4b patch c) install GW1.1a d) install SH3Cmdr e) read the SH3Cmdr Help and FAQ files f) OPTIONAL STEP: if you have NEVER ran SH3 before, you must run it first to create the save game folder structure g) run SH3Cmdr |

It's only an issue if you go into your NYGM installation of SH3Cmdr and try to create a Personnel File for your GW Commander - the details will not be as up-to-date as if you had gone into your GW installation of SH3Cmdr and created a Personnel File for your GW Commander. That's all. But this is nothing compared to the rollback hassles you have now avoided. |

C:\Games\SH3 Commander\Random\0\Date\19390901\data\Crew\Body\Body01\OFF_TGA\<01_O FF_Body01_D.tga etc files> C:\Games\SH3 Commander\Random\1\Date\19390901\data\Crew\Body\Body01\OFF_TGA\<01_O FF_Body01_D.tga etc files> C:\Games\SH3 Commander\Random\2\Date\19390901\data\Crew\Body\Body01\OFF_TGA\<01_O FF_Body01_D.tga etc files> repeat as many times as desired (you can add more random folders). Each Random folder should include all skins (ie 01 through 04 tga files), but it doesn't really matter. In fact, not doing so will provide even more variation. If you want you can also change the skins based on date within each Random folder, ie adding C:\Games\SH3 Commander\Random\0\Date\19410101\data\Crew\Body\Bo dy01\OFF_TGA\<01_OFF_Body01_D.tga etc files> means that IF SH3Cmdr selects 0 as the random folder, one set of skins will be used UP TO 31/12/1940 and another set of skins FROM 1/1/1941. In essence, this doubles your randomisation chances. If you want, you could have daily changes of uniforms, but I'd suggest that as a tad bit excessive! Play around with it and you'll see that you can do many things to vary your game from patrol to patrol. |

Hello,
is there any chance I can exceed 100 days when setting days spent in base? Or another way to adjust starting date of next patrol? I missed one W@W patrol and now its 150 days to spend in base so that the date is corresponding. Thanks |

It's more of a request than an edict :)
Yeah, Jager, could you make you sig a little smaller, it would help people with smaller monitors  |

I love his sig, and I think it is a beautiful work of art that should remain in the size it is. |

Many Thanks. This is a great piece of work. Oh, and the Nightclub is a sight for sore eyes. :sunny:

Thanks JScones for version 2.6. I especially like being able to have crews start with varied amounts of experience.
