There's a lot of talent and humour in the advertising industry. I worked with them for quite a few years...and had a GREAT time. |

Another sleepless night in Australia.... Hi Gerald, long time no post. |
Hey there!

Absolutely true this: I could have been one of history's James Bonds myself back in 1980 but I turned down the offer of the role.
Admittedly it was just the Reliance Mutual Insurance Company Amateur Film Club of Tunbridge Wells - but there was no Aston Martin so I said no thanks |

The original books are way different from the movies. Ian Fleming wrote 2 travelogue type books and a lot of material from them ended up in the novels. If you can get hold of them they're good reading. He saw himself as the hero....James Bond. Having said that, Roger Moore was a funny bugger and a good choice to play Bond James Bond. |

Hi Gerald and anyone else interested.....if you've read the Ian Fleming James Bond books you'll find this link very interesting. It's from Project Gutenberg and it's "Thrilling Cities" by Ian Fleming. Reading it you'll see where a lot of 007 material came from.
He's a good writer, lots of humour and understatement....:har: then :o then  but always :arrgh!: https://gutenberg.ca/ebooks/flemingi...ties-00-h.html |
Nice. I was not aware of him before.

Great tune, and excellent editing......but I'll post it here and not the Music Thread, as I think it's more appropriate here. "Feeling Good" - Charlie Green. |

^ Very interesting discovery - of course, Roger Moore had been famously playing Simon Templar in "The Saint" since 1962
