Always sad to see someone you're familiar with go, but like many others he had a good long life, so the sadness includes some joy. Also he died more than a month ago.

I just recently watched him in a couple-of-decades old episode of Agatha Christie's Poirot. A fine actor.

[edit] A little looking revealed that he also guest-starred in The Avengers, and had roles in some big movies, among the Ghandi and Braveheart.

That's sad. He was a brilliant actor.

Looking forward to "Journey to centre of the TARDIS" episode!

It annoyed me to see dozens of links to episode spoilers :nope:

I know. I've got quite a collection of Target novels.

Sailor Steve 03-08-13 01:49 PM

Now that I have restorations of all the missing episodes I'm getting rid of my novels. And my videotapes. :dead:

They've restored all the missing episodes? I only knew of The Invasion Episodes 1 and 4, some episodes of The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve, and Episode 4 of The Tenth Planet.

They're releasing The Tenth Planet this autumn. I once saw an amateur reconstruction of it on YouTube. It's a brilliant story. All I have to say for the DVD release is...

I can't find anything on the internet about it. Where did you get the DVDs from? :hmmm:

Jimbuna 03-08-13 04:14 PM

Don't tell him Steve...his mom will go crazy with you over the postage costs alone :o

Sailor Steve 03-08-13 04:27 PM

Sorry, I meant Power of the Daleks. I've picked them up here and there over the years. I don't see them online right now either, but I do have them.

What!

That story was pulped by the BBC and only fragments and pics are left. The story was released as a audio story part of the The missing story series. I bought it on tape years ago along with The Power of the Daleks.

I have a copy of a restored version, with soundtrack and photographs. That's all I can say.

Rhodes 03-08-13 05:40 PM

Isn't the restored versions episodes with pictures of the scenes and the audio? Invasion had the missing episodes done with cartoon (and fine I my say).

Sailor Steve 03-08-13 05:53 PM

Yep, audio and photographs.

Rhodes 03-08-13 06:05 PM

It is a pity they did not do the same with all the episodes as they did with with the Invasion story!
