She raises the odd eyebrow but doesn't say much...besides, she generally gets whatever she wants.

She's heard of a certain retail establishment opening in Chester so I suprised her by booking a 4-day stay...that should keep me in credit for a few more aircraft and I do know there is a large Modelzone store in Bridge St. Chester :DL

1/18 is a little big I'm afraid, all mine are 1/72 and I'm still without any display space :-?

[QUOTE=jimbuna;1658219]That must be some small scale...1/144 perhaps?

Yes. :yep: They don't have as much detail but, not bad considering.

I might try possibly doing a diarama Air Show. The only ones they don't have is, a Pitts Racer or a Gee Bee Racer. :wah:

Put some pictures up on here...the more people that do that the better.

I'll be posting my latest acquisition (the Lightning) when it arrives.

I had an old Imageshack account. I wonder if it's still good ? :hmmm:

Will check it out. :yep:

Jimbuna 05-08-11 02:01 PM

You don't need to be registered with ImageShack to post pictures...one of the benefits over Photobucket IMHO.

nikimcbee 05-08-11 02:07 PM

Hard to say Jason because the vast majority are limited editions and checking on eBay shows a definite upward trend in values since I started collecting in Dec 2010.

What I can tell you is I keep a spreadsheet of my collection and thus far I've spent £2072.08.

Who was it that said "Crime doesn't pay" :DL

It was just a guess, actually, looked like it, with mirrors and furniture, neat.I believe in what you say, :yep:

Jimbuna 05-09-11 10:23 AM

It actually came from an online retail furniture store.

Mrs Buna and daughter chose it because it 'looked nice'

When it arrived (two triple size wardrobes and a chest of 6 drawers) some parts were broken and some were missing so the whole order was returned TWICE and took over three months to get sorted :stare:

Never again....old man Buna pays for it so he will pick it in future (until Mrs Buna flutters her eyelids no doubt) :03:

I have never acted, furniture online, would prefer to see the product before my eyes, and feel free to give it a "kick" to ensure the sustainability :o ... but when you mention this, so I remember the conversation you mentioned before, but I must course, admit that you had bad luck to be forced to send to back off, because of error, which is not a dream situation, :88)

Lesson learned :know:

Thanks Jamie...simply wish I could display them all.

Jimbuna 05-23-11 12:59 PM

Just back from a four day trip to the north west with Mrs. Buna during which my retail therapy was helped with the purchase of three more aircraft:

A Red Arrows Hawk (no Brit diecast collection can be completed without one.
Another 'Brick' (Raspberry Ripple colour scheme).
A Falklands era Sea Lynx from HMS Brilliant.

I'll post again after I get a few piccies.

Oberon 05-23-11 03:57 PM

I have a feeling when I venture up norf next April to Yark that I will be coming back with a few aircraft :03: Honeymoon or no. :haha:
