@Kiwi_2005

Imho, it does reveal a bit too much. We've already seen at least 3 different
creatures in the trailers (Engineer, the squid-like thingy and now the one we see in that). :shifty:

Agreed...I'll certainly wait a month.

Hooray, Prometheus will be rated R instead of PG13 as has been rumoured for
sometime.

R rated film here is a porn film, hope Dowly not popping over to the UK for some dodgy film with the same name. :haha:

Not seen the rating here I hope it's a Cert18 and not cert15, can't stand teenagers there a pain in the bum.

Jimbuna 05-08-12 08:48 AM

It's getting harder to guess what stage of the teens kids/adults are in

Pretty sure it will be cert15. :hmmm:

"sci-fi violence including some intense images, and brief language."

Sod it, UK Cert15 and 3D...Blast.

I hate 3D its tripe.

I read the somewhat detailed reasoning behind the rating and it didn't sound like
they dumbed down it that much. There will be violence and bloody scenes.

What is more interesting is Critic's Choice which had Prometheus rated as 90/100
yesterday and is now changed to 55/100.

The site has no actual reviews yet, but still. Why fiddle with the numbers? :hmmm:

Reasoning for the cert15 rating (WARNING! SPOILERS!)

STEED 05-25-12 01:19 PM

That clears up the Cert15 but why 3D?

Skybird 05-25-12 01:24 PM

:haha:

Reading the official reasoning report, I could not help myself but had to laugh out loud. I mean, it sounds so - bureaucratically, so absurd, disconnected, so... How can one seriously start to cassify things by schemes like this?

Have they ever filed a reasoning report about their own sense of reasonability?

Indeed. Never seen a movie in 3D nor I'm planning to.

Tho, I seem to remember that Ridley said he is going to use some fancy pansy
new camera/technique for 3D so who knows. :hmmm:

Haha, yeah I know what you mean. Think IMDB has a similar section that
covers what potentially harmful material (for kids) the movie has. :O:

I wish it was Cert18 to keep the riff raff out...teenagers. :arrgh!:

Hah, good point. :DL

Luckily where I live, people just sit with their mouths shut and watch the movie. :O:

Then again, it must be almost 10 years since I saw anything in the movies. :hmmm:

Just need to figure out when it's opening here, official finnish opening is on June 1.
but living in a small town that might be pushed back.

That is why I have mixed opinions about going to the theater some times I will wait for a few days and let the big crowds catch the opening showings that is when most of the un-wanted viewers show up.

Yup, I never go see a movie on it's opening day. I'm there to watch a movie, not to meet people. 3-4 days after the opening is usually when I go see the movie,
plenty of room to pick your seat and all that. :DL

STEED 05-25-12 02:35 PM

I'm going on the first showing at lunch time next Friday so it will be about half full or less. No way I would see this in the evening that's when it pact out!

That is good time of day to go it will be near empty I recon.
