Now that the 470 war is over[I lost] I have the componets for the new machine. ultra 1000 watts-Asus,M4A89TD pro-amd X4-955-seagate 250 hd-8gigs corsair-and evga480 gtx. I could wait any longer so i got what the budget would stand.thanks again for everyone's help during the battle

No I just got all the componets together It is being assembled now.I'll finnaly have win7.I'm still running the xp with the 260 right now.I'm expecting better results with the new one .I will let you know after the first misson.

How much of an overclock do you plan to run? If none you are wasting money on a megawatt psu. Hell, you would be wasting money on the megawatt unit even if you ran two 480's in SLI and a decent overclock.

Have you got the new card?

yes i have the rig but it shows the intro screen the one with all the action. the loading bar shows then it crashes.i'm so mad i can't talk.sob-hard drive defective machine went back. have it monday

the machine is back, power supply bad, but now up and running it's beautiful.I have v-synce on solid 60 fps no flickering. with W-clear"s mod and tdw's and steelvikings mods.I can't belive how good it looks.Am going on long patrol now. a lot of it in realtime so I can enjoy the eye candy.

but ,you said at you have "big" power supply before,what course of events?

well i had an ultra 1050 watt,but the supply to the vidieo card was defective so I got a corsair750watt,that was the biggest they had in stock that wasn't an ultra.it runs great no issues at all sh5 been in running all night at no tc and it's still going. no overheating I not running the optional software yet. I'll see how it goes after this misson.
