On the upside, no krashkart in drag or Steed mugshots.

So perhaps a draw was the best outcome... :haha:

Good pass to the England goal from Emile The Monkey, don't you think? :)

Wolfehunter 06-12-10 09:31 PM

Did I see England score on there own nets... :woot: Man I saw the goalies face hit the grass and his fist landing on the grass too. I almost could feel his pain... almost..

Wow I really never expected USA to tie one against one of the Football titans.. :06: That's a big win for the US...

English Goalkeepers = Fail

Thats a 3rd goalkeeper you can' trust to pick the ball up.
Also, Why the heck does Frank Lampard start???? he is the king of the sideways pass.
Lennon has no idea what to do, he just runs up the right wing and when he is just outside the box he is lost.
Heskey... 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. HIT INTO THE TOP CORNER YOU MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!

robbo180265 06-13-10 03:11 AM

Did anyone see Wayne Roony, did he even turn up?
Nothing from the wings, Lampard and Gerrard together STILL doesn't work, Carragher showed us why he retired - he was utter crap. *sigh*

Well done America - a good draw for you guys.

Trooping the colours in London, punishing the colonies in South Africa. :DL

Well, maybe no colony punishing, but the Queen nevertheless was amused. :D

Oooh, and bad atmosphere transported from the stadions. These #§6?% vuvuzelas kill everything. The teams play good, and you hear HUMMMM, and they play bad and you hear the same HUMMMM and the goal is not achieved and the HUMMMM continues and the goal is scored and it is the same HUMMMM. I like the pics of the local people celebrating in the streets, looks all nice to me, but these vuvuzelas are the worst piece of crap I have ever seen or heared in sports. Not because it is noisy, but because it just is one constant, monotone, indifferentiating, neverchnaging sound, no matter the action. You can hear nothing about how the match is going.

They should have forbidden private vuvuzelas, and distribute let's say 20% of the currently seen ammounts directly at the stadium entries. That way the locals can have their thing, but the monotony that kills atmosphere and difference in the Tv accoustics would be toned down. After all, the big money is not made with ticket sales, but TV rights. For every single visitor in the stadium there are 35-50 thousand people in the world sitting by the TV or radio.

Germany versus Aussieland this evening. I hope there will be a good, courageous referee on duty, just in case the Aussies turn out to mistake football with rugby or free style fighting. They are said to have a reputation for that, and we already have had team losses enough due to injuries during tournament preparation.

papa_smurf 06-13-10 05:25 AM

Once agian a typical England first game performance. We go 1 goal up and proceede to sit back and relax:nope:. What were the thinking!?!? I only hope Green can do better next match (his 2nd half save was brilliant), or hope David james can get match fit.
But we cant dismiss England yet, as its only been 1 game, so lets see if we do better against Slovenia/Algeria.

BTW, heres the press response to Green...

How oh so very embarrassing :nope:

The three goalkeepers.....one is relegated, the other plays in a team that just stayed up and the third can't get a game for his club and has to go out on loan to a mediocre club (on a good day) to get a game.

Almost predictable, see #49, 62 and 78 :hmmm:

Yep and what's even more concerning is the fact that the no 1 goalkeeping choice (James, out last night through injury) is affectionately known as 'Calamity James' because of his repeated goalkeeping errors of a similar magnitude to what was witnessed last night.

He is also known as a 'vampire' becuse of his inability to take command of the 6 yard box and deal with crosses

Overpaid under - achievers....the lot of them

Agreed.....every English supporter knows Lampard and Gerrard can't play together simply because they are natural attacking midfielders so it is not possible to cut the midfield cover by 50% repeatedly (certain suicide)....but what gets me is the fact that we pay a guy millions a year to keep making the smae mistake :nope:

BTW.....I'm sure you'll remember Ray 'butch' Wilkins in his playing days.

The first guy in an international shirt for England that could only pass sideways and became known as 'the crab' as a result.

That is Lampards new claim to fame...'the crab v2' :DL

Heskey....never used in the world cup run up games and played only a handful of matches last season.

I'm a TOON season ticket holder so that will speak volumes for my affiliation to the mackems but Bent was second highest scorer in the premiership last season and earned the right to be selected.

One difference between the two....Heskey has a longer tongue and does as he is told apparently, which can't be much because I can't remember the last time I saw a decent performance from him in an England shirt.

Lennon or Walcott?

I'd have gone for Walcott because he is capable of turning a game on its head with a flash of brilliance.

Agreed, Lampard is there because he doesn't bottle penalties, usually.

Did I mention penalties? Let's not go there :DL

Carragher....was he on the pitch? :nope:

I honestly think we can only improve on last nights performance.

The question being....can the USA?

Howard made the difference...not suprising, he polished his skills in the premiership :DL

1 : 1

Well done, man!

Jimbuna 06-13-10 09:19 AM

If only John Terry had shagged Robert Green's bird :hmmm:

Steven Gerrard says, "The whole team is behind Rob Green."
In retrospect, that's a good place to stand :DL
