It seems that one side of this discussion has reserved the use of it for their own arguements. I, not surprisingly, disagree.
As to your point about making a choice, that is absolutely correct. You made your choice. Other people made theirs. You have your opinions, other people have theirs. The difference is that when the (small "p") pro side makes any comment that does not fall into the Anti-Ubisoft mindset they are replied to as follows...
These type of personal attacks were rarely (I did not say never) a part of the the Subsim.com community until recently. Now they have become the norm. We seem to have a lot of new people here who don't know how to, or are incapable of, carrying on a civil discussion. Neal seems to want to allow this for the time being... so be it. But that doesn't mean that people who disagree with the anti-Ubisoft posts have to hide away and let the ranters run wild, does it? Or are they the only ones now allowed to express their opinions?

I agree, I don't remember this level of behavior with the last two releases since I've been on board the past 5 years, but unfortunately it isn't just one sided. I've seen the same kind of behavior from those that have bought it that are "fed up" with hearing opinions that don't align with theirs. Strong emotions are being thrown out and with the same frequency/spamming on both sides, imho. Most probably don't feel that they're doing it, I know I don't but am sure others may feel that I have for all I know, but there's never a reason to include a personal attack in expressing your opinion. But some here get roped into doing the old tit for tat and would claim "they didn't start it", etc.... while engaging in the same sort of behavior. It's tiring for both sides. As for Neal allowing this for the time being, maybe he's hoping it will just naturally die down of its own accord and if not then he'll pull out his big stick in order to keep those that need to be kept in line. I'm happy to read about what people like about this game, helps me form my own opinion about what I may or may not like about it, hopefully some day I'll be able to find out for myself whether it's actually true regarding those opinions. Guess we all need to thicken our hulls and resist the urge to respond to the more "petty" types of posts.

Anyhoo, back to SH 5.
I have a lovely, big Cimmaron Tanker in my sites that I have been saving for a special occasion.

Have fun! I'm going back to my SHIV and OM for the same kind of enjoyment. ;)
