Ladder climbing
This is my first post so please be gentle as I'm a bit clueless. I'm about to give up on this game and I've loved the rest of the series. I just can't consistently climb the ladder. I have tried heretic's suggestion and still not consistent. Help

Welcome:)
I had the same issues when I 1st started, but soon got the hang of it. make sure you are facing the ladder and are close. Now look up just above eye level then walk forward. That should do it 4 u. I was making the mistake of looking all the way up and wondering why I could not climb, so hope this helped |
PLaying the game for 2 days now and slowly get the hang of it.
However, does anybody have an idea where to find the setting for the torpedo salvo spread angle? Maybe it works automatic depending on range, I have certain suspicions going this way, but a manual way of entering these values would be highly appreciated. Also, does anybody know where the tower emblem folder is located? |
welcome:)
As far as I know there is no way to set the spread angle yourself IMO. Having read alot of threads pre and post release it seems its pretty much set, to what who knows. |

Here's a screenshot in game. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...0-03-06_21.jpg And the thing in the middle i believe shows me what i should see?? But i see no time compression display or a plus/minus??? |
Look more carefully at your screenshot. Your next objective is to Plot a course to Kiel (plot it into the harbor, not just near the area). Until you do that you cannot progress with the tutorial and certain UI elements, like the one you're "missing" won't display.

Did anyone mention shft+F for hold current depth? Handy when diving, just order a dive and when you reach the depth you want shft+F and she will level out. |
Ok thanx guys.
Howd you make the recognition manual appear? |

Shift + Z = hide interface = good ! :yeah:

Ok, no idea if that is common knowledge, but if you want to quick equip your boat with torpedos when in port, instead of drag and dropping each eel an alternative is to simply click the toperdo you want to equip, then click on "Equip" repeatingly. Each click puts another fish into the bays.

I don't have the keyboard exactly the same as the one in the F1 screen and don't have the slash button where it says for x1 time compression. I have a UK keyboard. Which key is it on the UK keyboard??
I have another query. I have a radio message to go to what looks like gridsquare GR07. However there are no characters on the squares so i don't know where to go?? Thanx |
Where are screenshots
I saw the question in this thread--but didn't see the answer--any help? I can't find my screenshots--

Hi guys,
So i'm completely new to the SH franchise and at this point I really like it. I'm playing on the most noobiest skill at the moment which is low. Yet I have a question: I'm on the first mission to kill those british merchant ships, but how am I supposed to spot them? I just click in the area I need to be, and time compression to like 5000x until I see a red rectangle on the map and see it's a merchant ship.. Is this the way how to play this game? I mean I can go on top of the sub and check the horizon continually but that doesn't really work if you ask me. Thanks in advance people! Gerwim |
How can I control flooding? My command room is at 30% flooding, and I cant order my chief engineer to make a damage control team. :damn: Is there another way that I haven't seen?
