@ Nisgeis : :D
@ Neal : yep, I guess so. Especially as an ubi admin/mod came here requesting Subsim forum members to participate to some contest related to their forum... I actually can't see a single reason why Ubi forum members shouldn't hear about Subsim soon. ;) |
me too...i think this is a really good idea. i often came across the situation german modders tried to communicate their stuff and even other german members where answering in english. maybe we get this process more fluently, if we would have a german forum here. also its much more independent and focussed on the main topic and our all passion: uboats
:salute: AND maybe we will attract more people to get here and share their skills with us. :know: |
Danke!! |
Sure, why not? Let's have a german section! :salute:
I was also thinking about offering service as moderator, but hmmm, not sure if I could handle a big crowd. I've been moderating some forums until now, but with a user amount of less than 100. Guess this forum would be too much for me. ^^; |
I voted yes - I am German and my English is not perfect. So I would prefer to write my further posts in German.

OK,until yet i don't vote because i'm not sure. But now i voted "YES" - Let's do. |
Ja.
|
I voted no. I have seen several Germans speak to each other in their own language on these forums and it has never been an issue that I have seen.
I also don't like the potential split in the community. Imagine if we had this a couple years ago, Tomi's mod threads would probably not be in the "English" forum :O: |

that would be great. Sadly, my english is very bad, barely enough to read it. I would highly appreciate a german sub section around here. Thanks |
I cant see why not?!?
Many of us read both languages and the possibility of enrichment would be enough to motivate this. Diversity will make both groups stronger and Im sure ideas will flow back and forth. Germany is after all a 80+ million hi-tech country that has a lot to offer. |

True. You are much better than the Italians and Greek at this, even those who directly work with tourists :D
|
Well a little OT, but I can't resist....
Does anyone else appreciate the irony of Germans fleeing a forum run by a French company that's conducting ruthless censorship, all concerning a game about German submarines in WWII? What's more, asking for refugee status in a forum run by Americans speaking English (well, as close to that as they ever get), who are also, in game, sinking 'their own' ships? Meanwhile, the game was developed in Romania....as was most of the oil on which said submarines ran. Perhaps we could get UbiSoft to relocate their headquarters to Vichy?? :D:D:D |
