@Vickers 03

Here is the link for a US Navy picture from 1925. As you can see, periscopes are raised by chains : http://www.navsource.org/archives/08/0815606.jpg

Could it be difficult to put them in your futur project, for more accuracy ?:yep::yep:
Many details could be interesting ?

Beautiful work again Vickers.
Early war if I don't start in an S Boat I'll pick a porpoise. I like starting in the least capable boat then working my way up, so this mod is very much appreciated.
One question, if I have read this correctly the interior is for stock. Is there a TMO version planned?

EDIT. Sorry, I've just read the actual filename and realise this is for TMO. Good stuff. I'm off to try this out now. Good work

Great work on the Porpoise! I had been awaken several times during the night and couldn't go back to sleep, so I checked into the community to do some reading in hopes that it would help me get back to sleep. Boy was that a mistake! I just had to D/L and install this to see for myself.

I originally bought SH4 (Gold Edition) as a xmas gift for a colleague at work & decided to get one for myself since it was only $6 at Big Lots. I enjoyed the game in its stock version, but this community & those of you whom I will refer to as "The Mod Squad", contribute to my current addiction of scouring the forums for the mods and tutorials that continously elevate this sim from one level to the next. Thanks for all of your efforts! :salute:

Since he had been away during the holiday break, my colleague had not yet loaded SH4. I informed him of the community and all of the great mods that you all have contributed and it was all I could do to keep him at work the entire day. He can't wait to immerse himself! :o

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!:yeah:

Vickers...you should be put in the hall of fame for your mods. You've made out game almost real with all your work...

So Thanks.....I know you've made me enjoy the game so much more.

I just love the interior work you have done, esp the more realistic xmas tree.

BTW, any plans to make where the entire board is green once under water? Think I sent you a PM about it.Not a huge deal, just curious.

check the porpoise;) it's not the perfect way, but it has
a green board when submerged.

What's with the forward officer's mess and radio room? That was quite a pleasant surprise, even though it was all darkened. WIP?

Out-freakin'-standing, Vickers. Keep up the good work!

that's part of TMO1.9 and completely Ducimus' work.
it only works in TMO1.9 as it uses additional textures
done by Ducimus.

does the porpoise overhaul include the Gato also? or do need to enable them both?

Since you do such a marvelous job, i stopped playing "war" with my subs 'cause... i spent all my time walking through the boat, looking at many details, like in museum, lol :yeah::yeah:

These are more accurate than the reals ones :D !!!

thanks,

I just tried the updated porpoise interior. Great Job! It just keeps getting better! Maybe its just me, but the little details really mean alot. The text on the dive station, the dive angle indicators and the animated coffee cup and clipboard blew me away. You are really improving this game for alot of people, Thank You! :salute:

i do have a few minor requests, could you work your magic on the captains cabin and radio room? I would like to see the captains logbook in the captains cabin actually bring up the log and in the radio room could you make it so when you click the gramophone it brings it up?

In any case, Thanks Again, can't wait to see what you come up with next!

Ducimus 01-15-10 10:05 PM

Holy flurking schnitt! :o

Man, that is .. just.. impressive. I don't know what inspired this project, but man im impressed. Makes my past efforts in the interior look like a kids finger painting.
