Ah, you meant that. yeah, I knew it was that one already

Fun flight last night. First the nuclear April Fools :shucks: Then I discovered that Tempests have sidewinder missiles, much to Task Force's surprise :D

HunterICX 04-02-09 06:24 AM

Well, I will modify that mission a bit more

I will cut down on the flak guns, modify the Rate of Fire of the VIIC in the harbour.

add more ground vehicles.

and I will add 3 planes to be flown.

Base #1

P47 (all variants)
P-38 (All variants)
A20 ( ''G'' variant)

Base #2

Tempest (all variants)
Mosquito (all variants)
A20 ( ''G'' variant)

Are we going back to campaign flying any time soon? I mean the BoB map is all right but somehow I'm missing a real sortie.:wah:

Oberon 04-06-09 04:56 PM

Sorry if I wasn't that co-operative tonight guys, had a crappy day and just wanted to relax a bit. Hence the 'wild weasel' flight idea. Eh well...

Oh, Xabba...this is for you :yeah:

I think if you'd carried straight on I wouldn't have hit you, as you turned right you slowed down too much for be to be able to react and, wham.

Still, that makes us equal for your incident with the 109 :timeout:

Kptlt. Neuerburg 04-06-09 05:14 PM

Well I think I'm going to scrap my "Cookies for Calais" idea seeing as how hard it is to get a Mossie with a 4,000lb bomb up in air. I think I'll stick with the FB Mossie or something else. Oh and can we try a night mission with the ground attack planes on Wendsday if there is enough time?

We managed to get the blockbusters to Calais by taking off very carefully

I'll try practicing taking off in that version soon, I wonder how mush difference there is on takeoff with and without that 4000lber.

Take half the fuel you'd normally take and use the entire length of the runway. Worked for me and Raptor, but then they hit the invisible trees, and I alt tab'd out of IL2 to turn up the teamspeak volume, thinking that the level stabiliser would save me, but it put me in the invisible trees with Raptor and Xabba. :har:

HunterICX 04-07-09 05:26 AM

hehe, we where wondering what happend over at the red camp

Oberon Crashes
red Max Crashes
Raptor1 Crashes

:hmmm:

XabbaRus 04-07-09 09:11 AM

Oberon I managed to get the "Cookie Bomber" with the full fuel and bomb load off of that airfield we've been flying out of (Kenley I think it is) has at one end of the long runway has the hill with invisible trees and the other end (the end where we were taking off from) has no invisible trees. Biggin Hill is more suited for the "Cookie Bombers" as it has a much longer runway, but that is currently being used by the blue group, so unless the groups change airfields, us Mossie pilots will have to stick to what we've got. Raptor1 was right about having to use the brakes during take off!!

Raptor1 04-07-09 11:33 AM

Well, at least I'm glad I contributed to the immense success of the Blue wing's last sortie :O:

Now we only need the Lancaster and the 12,000lb blockbuster bomb and we're set

No what we really need is the Lanc with the 22,000lb Grand Slam bomb. Give me that and there won't be any Calais left!!!
