You've got me beat by eight months. However, there are members well into their seventies. But by "oldest" Neal meant the one who has been a member the longest.

I turned 65 last March ... but all I got was a phone call a week later from my son saying, "Hey dad when's your birthday" :salute:

I say give the award to Sailor Steve ... he's been the best overall poster and supporter of all that is decent and good order at subsim even though at least half of his post have been to correct others mis-spellings lol

But in my defense I did get here in 99 ... I just can't prove it :O:

Go there and you can check some of the old forums out. Kind of cool for me, since it was way before my time.

Yeah, the EZBoard message board is archived but not to the individual posts level. Still, one can go back to Oct 2000 and see who made posts, that certainly counts. :ping:

And to think, we had another forum before that one that dates back to 1997...

Actually, Rick, if you look back in the EZBoard archives, you appear as far back as Feb 2001.... :hmmm:

...but I'm pretty sure Bill and John were onboard before then, too. John wrote the first DiMercurio article for Subsim in Sept 1998 :D

Btw, a select few (and I mean few) of the old threads and posts are available at that site, but it is luck of the draw.
