There truly is a GOD and I am now a believer!

:p Ah me hearties, the yonder rapscallion developers have done us humble swobbers proud:yep: A new adventure awaits us on the high seas and although many of us will,I have no doubt, greet Davy Jones an many an occasion, I am sure that all shipmates are in for the thrill of another wonderful experience. :arrgh!:
We are of course most indebted to you, the developement crew, for all your hours of toil and dedication on our behalf and for the entertainment of us all.
From all your shipmates a HUGE thank you. If the Navy still did the tot I would give you half of mine! That of course is only something I have heard about you understand, I am, after all far to young to know about such things:rotfl:
Again, wel done and THANK YOU.
May your God smile upon you and your ship of life sail in calm waters.

Obxtony

PS Recommend playing stock Silent Hunter 3, doing a Career leading up to release then you would really see the difference.

It was a long road, on that road I met good people.

I never expected to ever be suddenly PMed by the Kpt. here on subsim and invited to be the one of the newest testers, I was still really new to subsim, and New to GWX 1.03, now that Ive seen it from the inside, I know how much work and Dedication has been put into this, by everyone and now by myself and how friendships have been tested on the inside constantly.

I doubt theres more then a handful modding crews in existance thats this Dedicated to makeing something as Authentic as possible as this, im sure theres others but I can BE SURE theres at least one and thats the GWX crew.

I must of spent at least 300 hours just testing GWX 2.0, as I was brought in when so called "1.04" testing began, and even then it was long road.

I hope everyone enjoys the content I have helped test

It was an honor to work with such Dedicated people.
Come hell or high water we get it done. :arrgh!:

I want to clarify something here and now before speculation gets out of hand... and have updated the first post to match. (In orange no less.)

The one-week donations period is being established as a salute to Neal Stevens and out of respect for his efforts in running Subsim.com as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of submarine and naval simulations.

All proceeds will go to the upkeep and maintainance of Subsim.com. Subsim.com depends on the good will of its members for continued existence.
No donations will line the pockets of Grey Wolves team members or other mod contributors.

The Grey Wolves Expansion is and will remain freeware and will be made more readily available to the community at large following the one week donation period. Neal Stevens has been our benefactor on more than one occasion during the production of GWX. In my opinion, it is the least we can do.

A toast to all members of the GWX development and testing team! <clink, clink>:()1:Be sure to rest and give yourselves a huge pat on the back!

Can't wait until December 16th! 24...23...22....0!!! :rock::rock::rock:

Hehe good to see this, I like the first response after Kpt. Lehmanns post best, short, succinct, absolutely clear in it's meaning :rotfl:

I'm sure that exclamation will be echoed by many in times to come...:D

Regarding GWX 2.0 if you don't have $$ or a job at present

Hello all, :|\\

I'm very happy to hear the release of GWX 2.0 and thank the GWX team for ALL their hard work, devotion and labor of love. It shows!

I, as it stands today, have been looking for work via temp agencies and such and have no workie work. Hence, I'm unable to pay anything.

I simply have no money and am in debt.

Oh well..............GWX still kicks ass!

Hellas1, the donation timeframe lasts only one week. After that it will be available to all for free as I stated in my posts mate.

The only thing that may make it tough to get for a few days is the demand on host sites. We will put download mirrors up as necessary to handle the load / internet traffic.

Last year when we released GWX 1.0, keeping GWX accessible was very tough due to very high demand.

Everybody will be able to download it free after the first week, as the Kpt. said in his previous post, we have no intentions to profit with the mod, all we want to do is give Neal a hand with the maintenance of this forum, so the ones willing to donate a few bucks to subsim will get an early download link.

Thanks very much to the GWX team for all of the time & effort.

I have no problems at all donating a few bucks....I run my own site too and it gets expensive!

Will there be a minimum 'suggested' donation or just whatever you feel like contributing?

Kpt. Lehmann 11-21-07 05:43 PM

I think that whatever you feel like contributing to Subsim will be fine.

(For anyone reading this for the first time... please refer to the orange text on the first post.)

I hope guys you take a day or two off before you start modding v3 :88):smug:
Congratulations on this milestone :sunny:

GoldenRivet 11-21-07 05:56 PM

Congratulations to all of those who worked so hard on this program.

i dont know what else to do besides salute you all and your unwaivering dedication to this project.

excellent work!

I look forward to taking my U-boat out on a final career with 2.0

once the career has ended, i will likely retire SH3 to the loftiest place on my shelf-o-games where it will hold the highest position.

Out of all the "games" i have seen come and go over many years i can think of NO OTHER that has had such wonderful support from such an amazing community. I can think of NO OTHER which i have learned so much from, nor can i think of any other game which has inspired me to read, research, draw and learn as much as i could about any other field of conflict than this one.

SH3 was destined to be an instant classic the moment it hit the shelves... but the mod community, the GWX team, and the members of this forum have served to make it what it is today...

Long live SH3...
Long live GWX...
Long live subsim!
