"light in the loafers" is a reference that, how can we put this, a man is in like of other men....... so if you take a look at Navy Dude he seems to be a "little light in the loafers". He seems to have come from a band called the Village People and these guys were determined to be "light in the loafers". Not to mention he has a cap with wings....usually means a pilot....I think he is a cousin of Bernard who was also determined to be light in the loafers. He also sucks as a crewman...no pun intented! Anyway, if Navy Dude is on your boat I do not recommend hot bunking with him!!!!
