A night shot, made into a beautiful watercolour with photoshop: this enemy destroyer did not see me, even at such a close range!

That's a great shot, Type941! Where'd you get that cool XXI skin? :P

Nice shots.
I wish I had some of the Photoshop skillz you all have. I especially like the sharpened photos and the old school looking ones that really look from the 1940's. I have a bunch of my own I pulled directly in-game. http://edseek.com/gallery2/main.php?...g2_itemId=1788  |
Here are a few more shots I took a while back. I was in my little IID position in AN84. I thought I could sneak away on the surface after spotting a C Class DD. I have it modded so it has DC racks (not the tame little animal as before). Anywho, he spotted me. I dove to periscope depth. He was rushing at me quite fast. Eventually he slowed to 11 knots. Since it was shallow, I thought I would try and get a fish off. Set it for magnetic pistol. I hit in the aft area. The DD lit up like a fire cracker! I have seen many an explosion in SH3, but never like this. I let my WO look through the scope, since he produced the life saving firing solution. Being the artistic chap he is, he created some images from the best of his recollection. Enjoy.
The first is a painting. We were on the surface so the fumes would affect the rest of the crew. :rotfl: http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/4...ss2a0hl.th.jpg The next one took a while. He embossed the image. http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/1...s22a5by.th.jpg The last one, he drew on paper. http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/7...s32a0ua.th.jpg |
Here we go again!

Hello Dowly, how can I change a screenshot into ipg and lower resolution? I tried just about everything but it's still going back to BMP image at 1076 x 768 resolution, to big for imageshack. Greetings!

Here is an "oldie" of the Bismarck firing. I didn't take the screenshot, so I can't take credit for that. I did the Photoshop work on the picture to age it, basing my work on photofinishing techniques common to WWII Europe. This picture was intended as a tutorial on photofinishing for Photoshop. I wish that I had taken the time to make a better paper texture, though, as the Reich (at least the Wehrmacht) used a photography paper that I can't find any more. In any case, I am considering making a much more work-intensive screenshot, hopefully I will post it in the future. It seems these days that I have more time on my hands than initiative, anyway. |
Nice pic twelvefield - I'd certainly be interested in a tutorial for a more 'work-intensive' one if you have the time.

1. Download the program from http://www.irfanview.com/ (and install it ofcourse! :D ) 2. Load up your image to infranview (File->Open) 3. When your image is loaded go to Image->Resize/Resample, a new window will pop up. On the right side, you can change the resolution. Just pick one of them. 4. Go to File->Save As and pick JPG from the drop-down thing. That`s it! Hope you understand, english isn`t my native language. :) |
