This is related to American football

The American football club Copenhagen Tomahawks is changing its name to Copenhagen(Not decided yet). They fear woke activists will come after them for paying
homage to a Native American battleaxe by using it as a name
I hope it's an April fool thing.

I read it on the homepage-They are gonna remove the name Tomahawks.

They can properly and simply switch it to "Copenhagen Battleaxes" which will highlight Rollo the Ganger , a marauding Danish Viking who settled in France, causing the region to be dubbed Normandy...William the Bastard was his decendant...and won at Hastings in 1066:yeah::arrgh!: ie: if Minnesota can have my favorite the Vikings...the politically correct Battleaxes shouldn't be a big stretch. Example: The Cleveland Indians are now the Guardians but the die-hards still wear their grinning Indian hats. Likewise, the Washinton Redskins :nope: are now the Washington Commanders. Such is the nature of political correctness.

I call them the Washington Swamp Monsters. They should have a donkey and an elephant strangling each other.

Poor Matt Ryan. He was a starter in both the biggest comeback in the regular season and the biggest comeback in the Superbowl.

Unfortunately he was on the losing side both times :haha:

That's a tad tedious; Foggy Bottom Ballers would sell more tickets:Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:! One of the SF Giant's uniformshttps://cdn-media.theathletic.com/si...l_1440x962.jpg homages SF's famous Bay area fog so the theme would hold up?!...:hmmm:

In 1928, the Washington Post declared “Foggy Bottom” an extinct nomenclature. Over eighty years later, one of D.C.'s oldest neighborhoods is firmly branded with the curious nickname, which was spawned from smoke and fog that hovered over the industries once housed on the area's low, swampy land

Buffalo Bills Safety Damar Hamlin collapsed after tackling Cincinnati Bengals Wide Receiver, Tee Higgins. CPR was performed on Damar and he is in critical condition in a Cincinnati hospital. The Game was postponed as none of the players looked able to play.

Thoughts and prayers to Damar Hamlin for a good outcome and recovery and to his family and his Buffalo Bills family / teammates.

Watched it live. It did not look good.

Heart Attack. Not sure if it was related to the preceding play though.

Maybe it was related:

Looks awfully similar to the collapse of Danish soccer player Christian Eriksen, who suffered a cardiac arrest during a match of the European Championship in June 2021.

I hope Hamlin get's well soon.

Christian have got a pacemaker after his cardiac arrest.

Shouldn't surprise me if Hamlin ends up a pacemaker too.

It was in our Sports news here in Denmark.

The match have been postponed until further.

Although, it's a bit premature to assume anything, those physicians connected with the care of Damar Hamlin have stated it wasn't a heart attack that took Damar down. They instead believe that his condition is connected with the impact to his chest, over his heart from a collision with wide receiver Tee Higgins.

This trauma is known as commotio cordis and is among the possible culprits. Commotio Cordis occurs when a severe blow to the chest causes the heartbeat to quiver, leading to sudden cardiac arrest. Commotio cordis is ventricular fibrillation precipitated by blunt trauma to the heart.

A Myocardial infarction or heart attack (MI) refers to tissue death of the heart muscle caused by Ischaemia, the lack of oxygen delivery to myocardial tissue generally caused by blockages and or plaque which in turn slow down or stop the flow of oxygenated blood.

Both Commotio Cordis ( Cardiac Arrest ) and a heart attack can deprive the body of oxygenation of tissue although by different mechanisms.

It has yet to be determined if Demar has a previously unknown and or undetected genetic abnormality or Injury with regards to his heart. That can all be diagnosed at a later date as Demar remains in critical condition. The next 12-24 hours is critical in his long term recovery prognosis. Right now, all efforts should be expended in keeping this young man alive which I'm sure is being done.

* As a side note, everyone should learn and know CPR. You may one day save a life with knowing CPR. My certification was renewed last year and I may do a refresher in the spring after this episode with Demar Hamlin.

Boom or bust for the Vikes eh' :haha:. At least they're in, so that's good for you guys. A little late to the party for us,
but better than the alternative :D Continuing to suck like we were doing a month ago was no fun. Lions will be
very tough this weekend.
