Were you aware that at one time no one born in Ireland could own land?

Those days are gone of course, but not forgotten.

Let Northern Ireland be you example and model of independence.

Fight on Scotland, but whats in it for me is every mans cry

except the true patroit :know:

What I dearly love is that fact that Marty offered to hold peace talks at Stormont between England and Scotland. Brilliant stuff! :har:

The reality is Scotland get more revenue from Westminster than what they pay in so Alex needs to be honest with his fellow countrymen and tell them what sacrifices may need to be made.

Watched Braveheart last night. Hollywood.:har: Okay, so in the movie, York gets sacked. Then they race back to save Edinburgh. So I looked on the map to see where York is.:haha:

I was actually thinking that they were going to attack some place in Northern England. No love for Newcastle? So either the Scotts were terrified of the Geordies, or Geordies were poorer than Scotts?:hmmm:

BTW, does Newcastle still have Wallace's arm on display?

What made me laugh was the fact he said Scotland with be alright from the money from North Sea Oil.

Dose he know that is going to dry up in less than 10 years now?

It peaked way back in the 70's.

Hilarious how so many movies have people wearing nothing in the post-apocalypic future. Infections, people. Got to keep that skin covered without antibotics.

I was looking at a link you posted on the credit ratings thread and it would appear Scotland derive 85% of their revenue from Westminster :o

Hey jim, I hear oil company's are to probe the North Sea for what they say is there are large untapped pockets. Well excuse me I have been hearing this sort of thing for a few years now and every area probed turned out to be a wast of time.

So we must assume old Alex is banking on three straight cherry's across to pay for setting up a new country.

IIRC 95% of UK oil reserves are in what would be Scottish waters:o

No problem! You'll always have the City (and I don't mean Manchester City :DL).
