Now the minimizing error just baffles me. I can't get it to reproduce and thus can't trap it to see why it happens. It doesn't happen to me - I can minimize, maximize, resize all day long without error :hmmm:

It's an app not a mod :DL

It's ready to be used but I won't officially release it until I figure out this minimizing error that some users experience at times :up:

THATS IT TDW !!!! :rock: Your tool now is...ROCKING !!!!

IT works perfect ...can save to terrain.act (from gradient) and all these with a very comfort interface !!!!!

still i have the same issue with SquareSteelBar (an error when attempt to minimaze it) but i haven't notice any side effect by this exept that it is generating the map again from the start (when you caome back to the app)

Thank you very much for this tool TDW !! editing the colors map is a piece of cake now thanks to your great tool !
one final request if possible : can you make it,saving the new terrain.act on the desktop ? (it always asks to overwrite the existing original terrain.act).

yea sure Reaper ! no problem to make one version with the historical colors of kriegsmarine maps . can you post an original map to get an idea of its colors ? (googling shows many different results).

don't worry about the land gradient . if you make it all the same color it will appear with no gradient at all so ,i think, there is no need to edit the map level 1

So let me see...you minimize the app and when you restore it you see a box in the middle saying 'Generatig map' right? If so, this is normal and expected (because the DirectX device was 'lost' and everything has to be re-initialized). Is this the error you speak of or something else?

I will make a change so you can save the terrain.act file to another location :up:

There is this crazy guy on the site that has a Damage Caused by Fires mod and a DC Water Disturbance mod. I use them! They are great. Let me know how to use the app when it is ready.

I like map pic no. 2, becuase it looks just like the view I had of the middle east from a jet airliner when I flew to Saudi Arabia years ago.

Was finally able to duplicate and trap the minimize error :D So yes I fixed it now.

If you are saving as .act file you have the option to choose folder to save to
If you are saving as .tga file you can choose folder and filename to save to

Everything should be 100% functional now :yeah: Barring no bug reports I'll make an official release in a couple of days.

Fixed some logic errors in the buttons

A colormap is now generated in memory to help speedup the map rendering

You can now take a screenshot of the map in the display or the raw map (4320 X 2160). Screenshots are saved in folder app was started from and will be called SHMapViewer_currentdate_currenttime.tga where currentdate and currenttime and the current date and time

Yes TDW, I was talking for the error that appeared when you tried to minimize the app (the same that SquareSteelBar described to you ) but i see that this is allready solved at your 0.14 version :up:
also, thank you very much for the addition to save the terrain.act wherever user want ! thats it !:up:
something else that i notice (very tiny !) is that if user tries to adjust the values at RGB adjusters of your app(via num numbers) ....the side effect is that app is changing also the gradients.tga at the 'selected' area becuase both ('adjusters' and 'selected area') are using the num numbers. better to allow user changing the gradients.tga only via the 'g' button .

with version 0.15 i get exactly the same error message like the SquareSteelBar (version 0.14 also works perfect for me).
