Hey Karle I have news I found out how to make the refit tower ONLY to appear in 1942 refit here's what I found in the USS Colorado's files:
[Equipment 5]
NodeName=Y01
LinkName=NBB_Colorado_tower
StartDate=19380101
EndDate=19420931

[Equipment 6]
NodeName=Y01
LinkName=NBB_Colorado_tower_late
StartDate=19421001
EndDate=19491231

As you can see the game made the towers equipment that exited and appeared at certain dates.

I've noticed some bugs with the Lexington

1. The secondary guns run out of ammo very fast one small convoy engagement then they are out of ammo.

2. When the ship is hit a couple times it hull changes colors to dark grey.

3. The main guns AI is stupid they will completely mess up like aiming the gun in the wrong direction then turning it back etc.

The first two "bugs" i can easily fix myself the 3th option euhm make sure you select where they should shoot and otherwise let the ai choose but don't to both because that will mess things up

1. Open the gunsradars.sim and find the one for the 5in_Double_Base_US and change the ammo count to your liking.

Is it the secondary guns, or the main guns? My idea is that you just sit back and watch, not control the guns yourself, as you can only use one barrel. The 40 mm Bofors is now the formidable AA gun it was, casue I took the ammo from the pom-pom. Now you actually get a flak effect with sound as well.

Any thoughts in makeing a pilot house ?????
 
These are some beautiful mods and I'm and old destroyer command die hard, sh 3 warship mod had a fair pilot house and gave some scence of realism too those mods, I know it is a bit of work but it would give so much to the game.

Haven't you read my post about the Pre-war and late war versions because I've already done that with the guns in 1941 you will get the 4.7 inch single then in late 42' you'll get double 5 inch turrets.

I really like the mods but i found a few bugs. The monty had the same bridge set up as the iowa and would you mind making the control turrets fire all 3 barrels instead of 1? Finally on the sodak the bow and stern collision space is way off. Thanks and keep up the great work :yeah:

Looks not bad.... but you have ironed out the known bug since the alpha version (example: gun platform)?

According to official US Navy models and schematics the Monty had a smaller, North Carolina like fully enclosed bridge. Not the huge semi-open bridge like the one the Iowas had. The player can only fire one barrel cause every barrel has its own weapon controler, instead of one for all three. This is more realistic than the stock configuration since all the barrels were induvidually sleeved. Therefore they could elevate and fire independantly of each other, just as with the ships I have made.

Why don`t you just check it out? Oh and one more thing, I took a look at the SH3 convertion of the Iowa, mind if I use the main gun directors from that mod? It would help in making my ships more realistic.

I have decided to also go for some European battleships, most of them are built from SHV 3D models.

Gun Turret fire.
 
They fire one barrel at a time because that's realistic. In real life they didn't fire all three at the same time because it hurts accuracy. I like it the way it is. It seems as if accuracy has increased with this change in the game as well. =)

Request for Karle: Can you add american flags to the american ships? I prefer them but no big deal.
