We have a clear cherry brandy, but brandy is the google translate for schnaps. Schnaps is usually made by fermenting small pears (tepke) or plums. Cherry schnaps is harder to make (cause cherries are harder to obtain) and is more expensive, but also of better taste.

First I've got to pick them and then ferment them. We'll have the first litres in february :03:

If I can fill an entire 200l barel for fermentation, maybe 15 litres at best distilled. That's 80-90%. The I dillute it with spring water to about 50% or 60%. 40% for people that my father or mother want me to give them. It's a protocolar gift mostly, birthdays, birth of a child etc. Those 2 cherry trees barrely fill one barrel (last year the yield was so small, I had no schnaps), so I can't really go into commercial production.

Maybe I'll make 5 bottles for: best of Subsim 2011 :D

Young Buna is currently sailing to Helsingborg on the MS Ryndam...I 've told him not to speak to any strange looking men standing on the dockside with a laptop in one hand and a bottle of cherry brandy in the other :har:
