Ok. Last guess.
If I see correctly there are sub pens in one of your pictures.
Then is it the island of Leros in the Aegean sea, from where the Delfino (Com, J.Aicardi) set off on August 15 1940 to sink the Greek passenger ships in Tinos harbor?
They failed , as the result was the sinking of RHS Helli (CL).

If this not this then it is the fictional island of Keros and the Guns of Navarone!!!! :D:D

One thing that was very, or to say, even the timing is right near it was the date and year, but no sub pens what I know, or have seen in the port, I have been there several times, but you have with your stubbornness shown good local knowledge, but the answer is not right, and I guess it will not be a candle that lights the right, a price promise at the right answer, :yep:

A little help?
In picture No 2 , what are those structures right of the lighthouse?

I really can not think of any other place , many ports have been mentioned in this thread. Those Italian destoyers limit the options but ....

I am Greek , so I am supposed to know my country's history. I also like very much studying the WWII history , especially the naval warfare. Just for the record I want to mention that the Greek Navy took revenge when the submarine RHN Papanikolis (Y-2) (Com. M. Iatridis) sunk the M/V Firenze carrying troops on December 24 1940 in the straits of Otranto.

There are only three ports with two Italian DD's so near to each other on such an elongated promenade so I suspect this may be a human created single mission.

Since I am never in an airplane flying over ports, and since most SHIII ports only weakly, at best, illustrate what an incoming mariner would see, this exercise seems sort of pointless.

However, if someone wanted to make an atlas of all GWX3.0 ports, that would be of some use. A Harbor Pilot's Guide.

Lost in the woods I went, but this is not a single mission, but part of the mission trip if you like ...not a single mission!

Those Italian destoyers limit the options,yes...and there was sense in it, see it as a clue you know it's 1940, and Italy has recently become our "friends"

He cheated. The only thing he "knows" that you don't is where he was when he took the pictures.
