I served my time as an apprentice Mechanical Fitter in the local shipyards as a 16 year old from 1973 to 1977.
During this period I was a huge fan of David Robert Jones, better known as David Bowie. I had the word ZIGGY painted on the rear of my motorcycle helmet and my claim to fame at the time (LOL) was that I had every piece of vinyl of his and also knew the lyrics to all his songs. There are probably a few hundred tracks I could post here but I'll use the track of one of his rarest 45's, a real collectors item these days and residing in a safety deposit box in my bank with a few other rareties. ah well that makes 4 left that are well worth listening:DL It's a shame this thread isn't about 70s music though... for some reason I tend to like the 70s more than the 80s... Maybe it's got something to do with me being a huge fan of Black Sabbath, with Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and AC/DC among my favorites as well. As long as metal is alive, those songs are never gonna die either:up: "They can't stop us, let 'em try - for Heavy Metal we would die" Now for probably the most famous metal song ever: Europe - The Final Countdown |
