Rgr that Chris....spent most of my working life being referred to as a 'Pig' or something equally derogitory.

Never really bothered me much because once the bracelets were fastened and the van door was opened the name soon changed to 'Sir' or something equally as respectful.

Sticks and stones mate...nothing more nothing less. :03:

Well there are plenty of blacks as police officers in the UK, been for some time. I presume you don't refer to them as monkeys, do you?

@OTH

Could you show some maturity and stop taking everything people here say as racism one way or another? The last I checked, you keep posting stuff that most would deem as racist. And yes, I see what you are doing, you're on your never ending crusade to try the boundaries of the rules here. You see someone post something that is in your opinion racists, but instead of handling it via PM/report/mature sense, you strike back with something equally racist. Not cool.

Funny you should mention that but I have had cause/reason to make that remark on occasion. A remark not made out of the colour of anyones skin because I have served with Officers from a wide range of ethnic backgrounds....but more because of their inability to perform their duties adequately and the resultant danger they posed to not only myself and colleagues but also to themselves.

The monkey is the liability who is last to respond to a dangerous situation, or the one who remains outside on the pavement during a bar brawl repeating the message to Control asking for assistance despite the fact Control have already acknowledged via an open frequency channel that said help is enroute.

A monkey or should we start referring to said individuals as a 'liability' is the one who won't draw a baton to subdue or disarm someone for fear of having the baton taken off them.

A monkey can also be tha incompetent bastid who doesn't tighten the bracelets enough allowing the prisoner to break free and kick you in the back of the head whilst driving in a pedestrianised area.

I've three scars from knife wounds because I foolishly relied on a monkey watching my back.

You have been given my explanation/interpretation of what a monkey is in #40.

Am I to believe you don't understand said statement or is it a case of you believe me to be a liar and or untruthful?

You obviously posted this whilst I was typeing my response.

You've never met me in person but we have spoken for what is possibly thousands of hours over the years on TS and obviously know me well enough....when your sober :haha:

Cheers Teemu....I think I'm keeping rather a cool head don't you? :DL

Well I'm not asking for the deletion of messages, I just need to know in concrete terms what the rules are. Examples are the best way to show this. Now that I have examples of acceptable behaviour I'm in a much better position to know what is allowed and what isn't.

i should think that in the field of racism - prohibition of racist remarks here at subsim would likely mean refraining from use if racial slurs. (every race has them, you know some of the more common or offensive ones - i dont have to provide examples)

calling someone a monkey or an ape is not a matter of racism, as it is more or less equally applied to any individual without regard to his or her race to imply a stupid or bumbling / fumbling or incapable nature of the individual.

Besides, i KNEW it would only be a matter of time before either Obama or his lackeys pulled out the almighty race card :haha:

I dont want to hear about racism against obama.

The day after the election i had no less than 5 black people - perfect strangers in fact - walk up to me (and others) at different times over the course of a 5 - 6 hour time frame and ask me very specifically...

"How does it feel to have a n*gger for a master? cr*cker" or some variation of the same question with the same or similar terminology.

so yeah... the race card gets ZERO respect from me. :nope:

Pig here in the state refers to the police. Yelling out pig to a cop with a batton is not recommended. It is usually shrugged off but it does not help your case down the road! :har:

on the other side of the pond im sure it means the same thing... this was my assumption considering Jimbo was once an illustrious bobby!

EDIT:

cops are an interesting sort... if they are apprehending you for any crime minor or major they are a pig.

if they are saving your life, they are a hero.

never anything in between HAHA

Correct on all counts.

When asked in the past how your on a pretty decent pension at the ripe young age of 50 you simply reply......"Work for it and earn it whilst being wary of those monkeys found often in your immediate vicinity".

I saw a bumper sticker back in 1970:

If you don't like the cops, next time you need help call a hippie.

On a similar note....often is the time I've witnessed someone being arrested for committing a crime and repeatedly calling colleagues every name under the sun only to find the same person a day or two later asking same colleagues for help because the victim of their earlier crime has vented some form of retribution on them.

A bit like slipping on the banana skin you dropped in the street earlier :DL
