i think i'm forced to wait untill i have a computer with more power to be able to get the full credit out of this sim that it deserves.
sad but true...

maybe by the time it turnes gold i have the cash to buy both the PC and the game:woot:

so for now i focus at SH4 U-boat missions(at least i'm still a german kaptain sailing in a smooth envoirement)

Fire 02-12-10 08:49 PM

Still not going to buy it because

1. The DRM

2. The expected amount of bugs mentioned in game previews and own experience in SH4

FIREWALL 02-12-10 09:54 PM

I'll buy the Collectors Edition if and when it becomes availible in the US for obvious reasons.

But will put it on the shelf.

Pretty screen shots mean nothing if the game is released half-finished and buggy. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'll buy it down the road after I get plenty of reviews. If people come out in awe of it, I'll buy it in a few months. It's gonna have bugs and complaints, so I prefer to see how modable it is. If people complain of DRM problems, it'll wait until I can pick it up out of the discount bin....

I'm getting this:yeah:.

I don't mind the DRM -though I'm not going to start ranting again, so let's move on- and the graphics of the game look great. Sure, there's been a shortage of news and info, and absolutely, it does seem pretty dumbed-down, but mods will probably fix that in time and make it more realistic, deep and challenging.

Time to cast my vote :smug:
I'm not letting Ubi screw me.

GREY WOLF 3 02-14-10 11:52 AM

I'll buy it when the offline version is available.

Platapus 02-14-10 11:58 AM

Now that I have seen the manual targeting video, I am leaning, ever so slightly, toward buying this game.

KING111 02-14-10 02:30 PM

I am with TDK on that one.
I like what I've seen so far, many thanks to Onkel Neal. Without him, we would still be stuck with the Ubi-Website and two or three Promo-Videos.

It's not a big matter to me that the game ends in '43 or that we only get one Boat. I'd rather have one accurately modeled boat as 4 Boats which are half-done. And I also like the "You're the Captain"-Approach of the Game.

But I am very opposed to the planned DRM-Scheme and that's why I won't buy it.
