Also, please don't expect a walkthrough of the campaign. I can tell Alex & co. put a lot of time into the RPG flow of the player's campaign and I think it would be much more enjoyable for the player to experience the exact events as they happen in the game, not in an article full of spoliers.

Could not agree more!

Don't know your timing and neighbourhood... but in a given conditions would be more usefull to test it on various internet connections... dial up modem, cable up to 1M/s and modern line... even if it takes few more days.

I am out of it... but there are so many people wondering how would it perform on their "internet", so your genuine run/save/load test results could be "bestseller" in a last week of February.

I would like to know if the campaign "storyline" is branched or in anyway scripted.

My guess is that a Preview copy doesn't have to be connected to the internet to play.

game to a simulation review site.

Moreover, I imagine that Ubisoft have a (perhaps unwritten) agreement
with the current review copy holders that there will be no negative
content in the review.

Subsim's integrity would never bow down to such censorship.

Donīt worry , soon or late subsim users would get a copy ( purchasing the game) and write free reviews of the game .

but ubi could delay the bad press in the market until the first copies reach the market

Actually, you may want to hold on to your anxiety. As you know, they stalled on send us a copy.... until the generic gamer magazines could theirs into print first....

Yeah, it does not take long to do a preview...I'm just not sure it's worth the effort, the game will be out on 3 weeks. I will give the game a good testing this weekend, and get back with some preview details. I will also test the Uplay stuff. Just to be clear, I have an early version of the game, so yes, there are some bugs and glitches. Not much different than the early beta I got of SH3, it had bugs too. That's why they keep working on the game and don't put the beta up for sale :) Mainly, I have to spend some time with the game, with an open mind, and give it a chance to prove itself. Then a preview.

give us some general screenies plz...the now weather settings etc. snow rain sun

If I do, will you promise not to draw arrows pointing out the raindrops dripping at the wrong angle? :03:

conus00 02-11-10 04:09 PM

My guess would be that Neal, by accepting the copy, also accepted terms regarding what he can and what he cannot post (picturewise).
But I might be wrong...

Onkel Neal 02-11-10 04:13 PM

You guessed wrong :)

Arclight 02-11-10 04:19 PM

Oh, options screen screenie would be great. :yep:

Really curious about the realism options, bet I'm not the only one either. :hmmm:

No red arrows, promise.

Ships-R-Us 02-11-10 04:22 PM

Say What ??

Neal says he will give the game a good try out this weekend.....If it were me with that thing, I'd be leaving work sick and rippin' 'er open now and gettin' it done. I guess Neal was a proper boy as a child and did not take a sneak peak at any gifts under the tree before xmas.
