Hey Mookie my first weekend has not been that great.
Made a big mistake leaving Todd Heap on the Bench. :damn:
Though if T.O and Nate Kaeding score 8 points between them i will scrape a opening weekend win.
Need to do some more research before next weekend the learning curve is a sharp one.

Ha, welcome to the club:D. The first time I played, by the third week I was looking for every scrap of info I could find.:D
What I learned from 3 weeks of havin' my ass whooped:
1. Team depth charts (not the oceanic ones!)
2. Injury reports
3. Your player's team schedule
4. This situation: your offensive player is on team "A" and your defense is team "B" You are now adding and subtracting points from your score.:o D'oh is right.:03:

Brady just doesn't look healthy. Hasselbeck-cracked a rib. Westbrook- high ankle sprain? Portis dinged? Marion Barber - strained quad? Frank Gore - ankle. DeShean Jackson - groin. Steve Smith-Carolina- sprained ankle.

With a 16 team league the waiver wire sure has slim pickings and it's only week 2.
Injuries are the part of FFL that I hate.

I've been decimated by injuries already. Boldin, Breaston both shaky, and Westbrook is now on the ropes.

Blah! :damn:

There is always the trade route, but I have not seen many of those in SUBSIM FF. Were there any last year?

Ive had a few offers of a trade but have found more value by signing up the free talent.

Yes, there were a few, but I think only very early in the season.

Its hard to find trading in any league. People just are too afraid to let their guys go, even if those guys are just sitting week-in, week-out. You need a league of extra smart football guys and the right conditions to make it happen.

If you have the time there is quite a bit you can do with your team as far as trades\waivers and for that matter how you select your team.

Oh what to do with TO?:hmmm:

Pioneer 09-30-09 07:14 PM

I think I have the general idea, certainly the players I've attempted to pick up have been scooped up before me and gone on to play really good games.

I may have to trade LT for a WR receiver though...I got the ground game covered but through the air....
