Hi

I'm still fairly new to the forum here,but have lurked for a while and finally joined on.

I play in the 75%+ category,haven't quite got the hang of manually aiming the torps yet but once i do i will be setting it to manual.Also DiD always has been.

I just recently pounded myself up to 100% D.I.D.

fgsr1969 05-07-09 07:51 PM

100% only way nothing, more dissapointing than a miss after a miscalculation however there is no greater reward than hearing those bulkheads moan and groan after a successful hit due to correct calculations.:salute:

no. 3 - 65% - I like to delegate responsibiblity to my very good officers. Also, the technical guys are wizards with those torpedoes - which give zero duds.....:DL.

Not to talk about the outside view which is a major part of the entertainment.

applesthecat 05-10-09 08:32 PM

I think the goal of gaming is entertainment, and the external views add to that, even though not being true to life, so I include external views. Seeing your torpedo race towards the target, not knowing if it will hit is a joy the real uboat guys didn't have. Why rob yourself of that joy if the point of gaming is entertainment? Increased realism doesn't always translate into increased enjoyment. Sometimes in the quest for realism, we lose the plot.

BTW, what is DID?

DID=Dead Is Dead

You die, you don't play the game again for a year and a day!:D

Just kidding:
You get sunk, you don't reload a previous save-unless you died because of some stupid TC thing or computer issue. You start a new career, not necessarily from the start of the war again though. I start from the next month. I want to expereince the whole war.
:)

I'm a MBvM-Player. MBvM = Mad by the variety of Mods. Since I found this forum, I've never played SH3, because I spent all my "playing time" with trying and testing all available mods, making my own little tweaks, making my own (not very famous) hsGUI and so on, all in order to get my "most realistic" game, which I still have not. It really drives me crazy, but there will be a stop point now. Some little changes to ship and submarine acceleration/deceleration and some little improvements to my hsGUI, and then .... SH5 perhaps comes out and I can put all my work into the trash.

aaaarrrrrgh!
