To be honest skwasjer, I think only you Kriller and FF should mess with the guts of it, the rest of us can act as testers so to speak. Would avoid confusion of versions, as well as let those who know their way around S3D, do their job. Just a suggestion here.

RDP

I Agree to the above. To avoid confusion of which file to work with, it would be a good ide to only have one or two working on the scene file, now I have 3 versions;

1. Skwasjers bugfree version of Daves latest work - tested and works ok
2. Foofighters version of the above. - not tested so have to dive into it to see what the changes are.
3. Swdw trying to get the fix for the ATI cards showing the sun under the horizont. - not tested so have to dive into it to see what the changes are.

Foofighters have just send me his latest work and when I receive swdw's work I will try to combine all of the above into only one file and send it out for testing.

On the other hand it warms my heart to see all of you willing to make this happen :)

Thanks to all of you!

Great , are you going to PM the other testers just to be sure they see the above.

Dave would be proud to see what is happening :yep: I am sure he is smiling somewhere in the great beyond.

RDP

No need RDP, the only scene we all are testing is the bugfree version by Skwasjer or have you allso received the file from Foofighters? - I would appreciate if we only test one file at a time.

Ok kriller

I thought I was the only one working on the scene.dat :rotfl:
Not knowing about the other to until an hour ago.

p.s. I only send the scene.dat to the names in your list.

If anyone is willing to give me a tutorial on how zones work in SH4, maybe I can help with a NSM version of ROW zones and special effects (when the new version of NSM comes out).

Unfortunately, I'm colorblind, so I cannot help with coloring the sky (you could have a green sunset instead of a red one and I probably couldn't tell).

Hi Bilko,

Thank you for the suggestion.
I would help you, but I don't have a clue about how the zones work in SH4.. :hmm:

letterboy1 x
sqk7744 x
AVGWarhawk x
CaptainHaplo x
Mush Martin x

That's cool.. I am not on the list but recieved the files :rotfl:

I was working with Dave on the reflections further on the ocean.
I will send my modified scene.dat to all guys from the list.
This scene.dat was also send to Dave, I know he tested it but never had time to tell me what he thought.

So guys please tell me what you think.

Foo
;)

Hi Foofighter!
That was my mistake you should have been in the above list :rotfl: If you are doing work on scene.dat, can I ask you to work with the version Skwasjer have corrected for the 2 bugs, Leo was asking him to correct? - I will send you the scene.dat in a PM right away!
Kriller2

I just discovered the existence of this thread due to a reference made by Kriller2 on the Leovampire thread. As i said to Dave in a PM asking for help: i'm just a player of the game, but he didnot care and I got a PM back. Reading this thread in the last minutes and especially the CARRY ON made my day. Thanks fellows. The best memorial for Leovampire is surely going to be this thread. He will never go away. It was a real pleasure to read your posts and I pay my respect as "just a player of the game" to you all. Aniuk

Hi Bill,

Nice offer Bill :yep: I to do not have any skills with the zones file. I am wondering if for starters you take what has been done, Wernersobe's stuff, Ducimus's stuff with Trigger and have a good look at those files, see how they are configured, etc. Ducimus might be willing to assist you a bit as well, maybe Werner the same ( but I cannot speak for those folks ).

I am sure the lads here would be willing to test. Redwine had done some nice stuff with his Die Slowly Mod back in the 1.1, 1.2 days, I know he thought a lot of Dave, to bad we could not get him back, as he may be willing to help as well.

That was Dave, he was willing to help all who ventured his way. A great role model for this game, SUBSIM and beyond. Thanks for sharing that Aniuk

Good luck with it , the zones stuff are an important piece of the this, be nice to have them completed as well. Let us know how you make out, or how we can be of assistance.

Lose the bonnet though :o:lol:

One thing I did notice was the water still had the jiggling effect:yep: , not much, but still there. This was evident only while on the bridge, just off the stern. I am mentioning it as I know it is something that is being worked on.

Overall though good separation of colors as the day progressed. Did not get a chance to get into storm conditions\fog yet, be interesting to see what they bring.
