i'd even settle for something around the time of the cuban missle crisis that went hot:rock:

Expanded to include both the Atlantic and Pacific. As mentioned here in this thread, leave the more modern stuff to games like DW\Sub Command.

I'd vote that SH5 should wait, next game should be back in the Atlantic dealing with surface units. Playing the British against the German u-boats, I want my Tribal class! :)

I thought Silent Hunter was called that way because of THE SUBS, as they are silent until attack... battleship/air to be playable, that kinda ruins the title, as the player is no longer "silent", unless he plays some modern era stealth frigate or F114A or whatever that stealth bomber is called anyway....:hmm:
Just my 3 euros and 75 cents...:hmm: |
Hmmm, what about WWI ???

SHIV wont be scrapped because some people said some bad words about it, the very idea is madness. It will only be scrapped if it doesn't make economical sense. Businesses don't have ego's, they can't afford to. So can we just move WAY WAY WAY past this vein please.

I'll take that first one! SteamPunk forever!
Oh, but they're "hulls", not "hauls". |
That baby is LA and the last one is SSBN?
Man, SSGN rocks! |

Somehow I skipped Silent Hunter II. With Silent Hunter III being picked up only 2 weeks ago. Just as replayable as the original... BUT BETTER! To me Silent Hunter is synonymous with WWII :yep: |
I personally like the 50's era idea came up with on an earlier page, when the newer tech was still coming in but it was all still relatively conventional and based in the tactics of earlier wars, before the major new technologies came along. I would definately purchase that.

I think not. Reminds me of when the article came out saying that Sh3 only sold some small amount of copies and was destined for the discount bin. That was going to be the end of the SH franchise too. In fact, wasn't SH 2 the end of the franchise? JCC |
