SH3 + GWX, lots of GWX stock mods + tons of different mods + SH4 ships and naturally SH3 Gen, SH3 commander. All about ..... 25 or little less. I intend to delete some of them due to loooooooong load time:-? . Gute rise!

Huskalar 09-10-07 03:48 AM

SH3 with GWX 1.03. And some extra gramophone songs.

Jimbuna 09-10-07 04:01 AM

Ah!....gramaphone songs, my favourite subject ;)

Fenris_Wolf 09-10-07 05:55 AM

SH3 + GWX 1.03

w/

1280x1024 modified dll + custom drivers settings
16km visibility mod
integrated orders
lite harbor traffic (vanilla causes problems with time compression on my E6600 processor)
etc.

73% realism (I use Manual targetting off + Noisemeter)

Tbh, Gramophone + a cup of earl grey tea every once in a while helps greatly with the immersion :p Mostly it's the thrill of the hunt for me, since I'm a game hunter IRL. :D

I think my gaming rig is pretty decent. I have a 24 bit sound card, 5.1 surround, 19" LCD, 8800 GTX GPU, 2 GB RAM among other things. Planning to buy a couple of new HDDs for a RAID setup next.

I use GWX 1.03, Stay Alert Crew mod, and the Torpedo Damage Final mod(You can't live without it).

For the GWX stuff, I use the English Nav maps and grid ref's, Integrated Orders, Late War Sensors Snorkle Antenna, Lite Harbor Traffic, Das Boot movie, No medals on Crew, and Reduced Positive Buoyancy.

I'd use the 16K atmosphere but it kills my computer, especially near a port.

I don't play SH4 because it costs too much and I spend all my spare time on Sh3 ;)

- GWX
with Lite harbor traffic
- the openhatch mod
- some skins from STEED

I Play at 100% realism settings, although I sometimes have external view on to enjoy the nice sub skins and take a screenshot or two.

I still prefer SH3 + GWX, ...and, of course, my beloved TypeIID.

My interest in SH4 faded when they failed to give me the Narwhal I wanted so badly.

Both.

SH3 Cdr
GWX

TM 1.6

variety is the spice of life.

Hakahura 09-11-07 05:53 PM

Just SH3 for me.

Tried SH4 for a while but I was not impressed enough to leave the Atlantic.

Loads of extras on my SH3 install, but GWX is the main one.

One sub? Too bad there are new mods coming all the time and I like the fleet boats....still can't fault choosing GWX. :rotfl:

SH3 + GWX = Da Mudder of all Sub Sims

SH3 only. I bought two copies of SH4, waited through the patches but was never impressed with the playability of the game. So it's off my computer and I'm in the Atlantic for the duration, it seems.

Wow surprised to see this old thread dredged up from the depths!

Being fed up with U-Boats I am playing this one right now:

Not quite the same but closest you can get to the athmosphere of being in the year 1940, with another sim. Playing these two games at the same time should greatly enhance the immersion actually .. absolutely recommended!

Canovaro 09-19-07 02:58 PM

That's great GE, I really like to fly warsims too. Especially the bf109.

Just left port of Kiel 1939 IIa and going to get some lone targets:arrgh!: (hopefully!)
