You can do a no cd whitout change the exe
But you are illegal if you use it on the exe

if its not from the official publisher, you cannot speak about it so hush it!

As long the FILES are not officialy from the publisher, YOU CANNOT MODIFY THE GAME WITH THAT in order to play without a CD/DVD.

and dont be a smart one, most of the Game Fixes are with executables as they are easy to use. and that webpage he pointed out was full of game fixes that are executables so thats just a NOT ALLOWED SIGN for that one.

You know, even if a No CD/DVD patch would be just a program, it disables/bypasses the copy protection of the product it is used on = illegal.

Absolutely a no-cd patch would be very welcome.
I have not yet bought nor played the game because of the SF issue.
In any case, some publishers/software houses after a game has been long enough on the market release an official no-cd, take for instance Egosoft with the X series.
X2 was protected with starforce, when X3 was published they released an official no-cd for X2. Now they even released a no-cd for X3.
Thats the way to go, but UBI being what it is I don't have my hopes up.
