Thanks for sharing these with us. Is there an option to turn that hollywood nonsense off?

Yeah there is. But image gets a bit "flat" without it.

could some kind soul perhaps post a comparison shot of SH4 with all the graphics options turned down/off, so we shoestring gamers can see how it might look on our rigs, when we get it in our part of the world.

Oh and show us some (maxed out if poss!) stormy days in the pacific! Rain, the works. :D
TIA :)

THE_MASK 03-18-07 05:36 PM

I agree. Anyway, the screens look simply great! (the damage model rocks!!). Keep 'em coming!:arrgh!:

Ping Jockey 03-18-07 05:50 PM

WOW!!! Stuff grows on the sea bottom in the Pacific.:yep:

Gronbek theres that time thing again in the first pic ( post #63 ) Local time is 17:01 ( 5:01 PM ) and 10 hours difference with the Subs time which says 07.01 AM. :rotfl:

Dummy me for I'm not sure but is there a ten hour diff. from say Calif. or maybe Washington D.C. as to where your subs at?

If so that would make your pic in post #47 right. :hmm: ( maybe ? )

gronbek 03-18-07 06:01 PM

Fog for you :p
And notice the strange depth reading to sea floor on last image:shifty:

I would like to recommend that you take a very close look at the bottom of his first pic. Not the second pic.. the first one.

:hmm:

Oh yes. :88)

gronbeck,

I have a question for you. The following is from the Ubi forum Dev Team answer thread...

Q: Taifu_Noodle: What units of measurement will SH4 use?
A: Silent Hunter 3 used the same measurements system as the Kriegsmarine - based on the metric system. For Wolves of the Pacific, we will of course use the imperial system since this is the historical solution. However, we are considering to have the game switch to metric as an option.

It looks like depths are all being displayed in Meters(metric) in your pics. Are you using an 'option' to have depth measurement displayed in metric?

Thanks
