Parts of the tower almost remind me of the old playstation graphics :-?

Hmm? I don't see what the beef is. The textures aren't the greatest, but the level of detail is pretty darn sweet. The JPEG compression probably doesn't do it justice though...

That's YAMATO***. Yamamoto was the admiral.

*Yamato is the ancestral name of Japan, hence, "Yamato spirit."

Hmm. I always assumed that it was a late war ship and they named it in memorial of him after the assasination. I hate finding out I misread something, but to be fair I haven't brushed up on my Pacific theater in a long time.

Wartime rule #1 Never name a ship in your countrys name because its very
embarassing when it is sunk.
I believe the Germans named a ship called the Deutschland before someone
higher up said (Not a very good Idea
):o

You're right. The 'Deutschland' was one of the so called 'pocket battleships' and Hitler later insisted to rename her. Since then she was the 'Lützow'.

Was it ever sunk?

No she wasn't, she was heavily damaged in '45 by Britsh Lancaster bombers and her crew blasted her shortly thereafter.

To come back to the topic: screenshoot, the maximum resolution of SH4 is 1280*1024 (in the video option of the version we have).

Can I play under 1024x768 with maximum enabled on P4 3.0GHz with 1 gig of ram and x1600pro 512MB?
I don't care for astronomic resolutions, just minimum...
Hell, I would even play it 640x480...:smug:
A proposition: Final system requirements from testers to be sticky...:damn:

UglyMowgli 02-27-07 11:51 AM

we will try all resolution but the reviewers are soo busy with many requests i will try to ask them to make screens @ differents resolutions.

Hello, Galileo. Can you see if FSAA works in-game if you force it in your driver settings?

UglyMowgli 02-27-07 12:08 PM

at this time it is not working, but the version we have is not the last one, just five misisons, no MP.
and we have some problems with the audio

Barkhorn1x 02-27-07 12:35 PM

Neal posted some dev. info last week that stated:

Quote:

The interface is very scalable and can run in any resolution greater than 1024*768. Basically, the available screen resolutions reported by DirectX are only a restriction to the game.
Probably meant that 1024*768 was the lowest setting.

If that is the case, then I seriously doubt that it will be in the full version. :(

Why do I get the feeling that this game is going to be pushed back all of a sudden. lol

Galileo, are you able to turn off the HDR/Bloom/Porst-Processing effects in-game like we can in SH3?

Thanks!
