My story with this mod.

I ran into an convoy.
After some time of deptcharges I had some damage. 4 compartments were flooding.
I sank to about 200 meters and wanted to stop the floodding.
It took me hours before the DD lost me and went away. I still had flooding.
When the DD where far away I blow balast and with full engine power I surfaced.
My compartmente where still flooding while on surface.
When I put al my men to repaire one compartment the counters tel me it can't be done. My ship can't be saved from flooding so I had to hit escape to return to port.

I think this mod is to hard.

And what about the green bar from my repair crew?

The mod is hard, that is right, but not too hard, i think. I had many very dangerously situation with the mod and that is excitingly. You had only a pitch situation.
Come on, Kapitänleutnant and go to the next enemy travel.:)

LOL...I installed LITE yesterday and had 2 planes strafe my decks with a hail of bullets. During only one pass I was given immense damage recovery time. And you want to add "deadlier aircraft"? ...bring it on!:arrgh!: :rotfl:

LRT LITE v1.32 release will mostly only make minor changes to equipment armors, hitpoints and compartment flooding times. No changes to bombs or aircraft.

In LRT v1.32 (full), I want to try and model the true deadliness of aircraft, as they really were. I still feel that it's too easy to outmaneuver falling bombs and depth charges on the surface, then dive and escape after the aircaft drop and pass. Also, with LRT (full version), the U-boat equipment armors and hitpoints have been increased, but the bomb damage was never increased to compensate. I always felt that enemy aircraft bombs and cannons didn't do enough damage. That will change soon enough. :D

Please understand that LRT is trying to simulate real world repair times closer to reality. In my humble opinion, the original SH3 instant repair times is too easy, arcadish and not realistic at all. Yes, LRT makes SH3 much harder, but remember that during WW2 most U-boat captains and their crews were sunk and lost. A no-win situation is something most U-boat captains and their crews had to face sooner or later.

Just remember NVDRIFTER.....

Most bombs in real life DID fall off target. Many many accounts of subs reporting this. I have not used your mod yet but I very very much look forward to it when I switch to GWX.

Just please remember to keep it realistic.

Yes, of course. Default ai Aircraft bombing accuracy isn't changed in LRT v1.32. What is changed is the damage caused by the bombs and a slightly wider blast radius. Also the skill modifier for lower rated air groups was raised. I did these changes because destroyer escorts are still a bigger threat in GWX than aircraft are, even later in the war. But the reality was (as you probably know) that overall, aircraft sunk most of the U-boats, not escorts.

I've noticed exactly the same and I've described it earlier in this thread. Pumps didn't work and my uboot was sank by flooding. Two damaged compartments were repairing by the good repair team, but flooding didn't stop.
Is this correct? I think during repairing flooding should stop, don't you think?
I'm a big fan of LRT, idea of this mod and I like hardcore gaming with this, but it should be lightly fixed in my opinion.
What do you think about it?

Hmmm. I haven't experienced this. In my games and playtesting of LRT, flooding always stops when the compartment is repaired. But it does take a long time to pump the water out of the compartments, even though the flooding has stopped. The weight of the flooded compartment can still drag the U-boat down past crush depth during the process of pumping out the water. Also, the flooding increases during repairs because the rate of flooding is faster than the pumps can pump the water out of the compartment.

Is there a way to make stopping the flooding a priority over other repaurs in the compartment? It seems logical that stopping the flooding would be job number one.

I agree that flooding recovery should be top priority over other repairs, but I don't think there is a way to do that in SH3. And as far as the 'Flooding Recovery Time'... I think it represents the time until all of the water will be pumped out of the flooded compartment. If the number is going up, that means that the compartment water level is increasing. If the number is going down, that means that the compartment water level is decreasing. I believe the number goes down only after the flooding has been stopped (not positive, though).
