I would do a complete fresh re-install. Get rid of EVERYTHING and install. I do not know anything about the compare program.

Ok D\L this file

http://files.filefront.com/GWXmd5/;6354946;;/fileinfo.html
Put in the same folder as all your GWX files ( bins and exe )

Run the MD5 exe
When the program opens - click the centre tab " Compare from MD5 file "

Press " Select MD5 file " and browse to the one you have just D\L

And the program will run - if all parts are ok they will have a green tick next to them
If a part is corrup it will have a red cross

My problem is solved, all is well. Restarted career after posting mouse issues and now all is working fine. Must have been one of those little startup bugs.

Just a quick question: Can the 6-Dials mod from SimFeeling be used with GWX?

Real U-boat behavior in GWX

Hi!

Is the behavior of the U-boat real (in GWX) when with the stopped machines and running depth to maintain to the same depth?

I was thinking that to speeds of 0 knots I will slowly sink at the rates listed below. At speeds of 1 knot I can maintain depth but not change to a lesser depth. To change depth I needed speeds of 2+ knots.

Sink rates per 10 metres at 0 knots is IIa = 12 minutes; IId = 15 minutes; VII = 16 minutes and the IX = 21 minutes.

Can someone help me?

Thank you.

I like your GWX Dev Team sig... strange that I didn't see you at any of the meetings though... are you a rather short guy? ;)

Regarding your question: The Real Life U-boat Behavior Mod in GWX reflects POSITIVE bouyancy... not negative. Your boat should RISE a bit when at full-stop... UP is where the air is... and generally U-boats were kept at a slightly positive trim as a safety measure. Therefore, you are confusing our mod with someone else's mod. No worries though... there's lots to remember.

Cheers!

Not without breaking some important stuff.

Maybe at some point we will make a version that will be compatible with GWX... but not for awhile.

We need to play too! :arrgh!:

Question re transfers

Hi not sure if this is a problem or if I have missed something.

After returning from my sith patrol in March 1940 I thought I would see if I could transfer to one of the other flottillas. When I hit the request transfer button I got, Crew transfered to Null, and the game froze, I had to reboot the whole PC to get things going again.

I remember a problem like this ages ago and am wondering if it has returned
