I have to agree with privateer on this, she wasnt in service in ww2 and was even a raider!

It should not be in WW2

The "Emden" was sunk at Cocos Isl. / Northern Keeling in the Indian Ocean, the "Kronprinz Wilhelm" was in amican service till 1923. Then she was partitioned.;) Both served only in WW1.

I think a WW1 Mod would be nice, because there is no other game to play such famous ships as the Emden or Dresden.:)

Im only including the Kronprinz Wilhelm because it was a raider.

:D WOW...im impressed!!!...yeah, i agree with the fact that she wasn't a ww2 ship, but she was really :|\\ ! For the model, i think that the best option is modifying a bit the british sh3 AMC...It's the most similar hull model I think.

This mods ETA has been pushed back in favor of making it a Total Conversion Mod. I and my team (if I can get a 3D modeler and a skinner) will be changing everything from the start screen to the start up movie!

Again I will post this:

If anyone wants to become a skinner for my Team please PM ASAP!!!!!
I also could use someone good at making warships playable to speed things up!!!!

just want to insure the people interested in this mod that it is still active, I working on the Kriegsmarine campaign now and will just edit it to fit the raiders!

UPDATE!
 
For all you Surface Warfare Mod Team fans: we will start the Royal Navy, Hilfskreuzer mods after the Kriegsmarine mod! Then we are debabting doing a IJN, and USN mod!

First to say you're doing an impressive job adding new ships and building a surface simulation.

On the other hand I got two questions:

1. When your mods (Kriegsmarine, Royal Navy, Merchant cruiser...etc) will be done, do you expect to pack them into a lone mod?

2.What compatibility can we expect with Operation Monsun or SRSD, and other major mods?

thank you for the consideration! to answer your questions:

1) they are to be separate as of now, we might join the Royal Navy and the Kriegsmarine mods together. The hoped for time of release is Nov. 24. 2008(my birthday)

2) They are not compatible with any campaign changing mods! is is its own super mod, anything we find that will be useful for the players will be included!

But it won't be really incompatible, will it? the other mod's campaign won't work, but added ships should still be there, and the game should still work, or am I completely wrong?:-?

I dont think the mods are compatible period. SWSM changes everything from start up movie, main menu, ships, hopefully enviroment, ships, bases etc.. I guess as the mod comes together more we will find out
